Reminder that "AI" is a scam.
    >We present GPQA, a challenging dataset of 448 multiple-choice questions written by domain experts in biology, physics, and chemistry. We ensure that the questions are high-quality and extremely difficult: experts who have or are pursuing PhDs in the corresponding domains reach 65% accuracy (74% when discounting clear mistakes the experts identified in retrospect), while highly skilled non-expert validators only reach 34% accuracy, despite spending on average over 30 minutes with unrestricted access to the web
They're basically telling investors these bots, which can barely count or solve basic logic problems, are smarter than most high IQ university students and almost as smart as expert PhDs. How is this anything but a blatant scam and why is this allowed?

I, along with a half dozen other anons, have been banned from BOT for posting this image. Not sure why it's making the jannies over there so butthurt but each time they ban someone and delete the thread, another one gets posted. You'd think they'd eventually relent and accept that people interested in cooking want to talk about this issue since many people do use these "AI" toys to get cooking advice and recipes.

Welcome to/misc/ chef. troony jannies don't want trooned out AIs to be exposed for what they both are, scams.
Those AIs allow them to escape reality by telling them lies that comfort them in their mutilated body and sick mind. If AIs were grounded in reality and called them freaks that picture would become your new sticky.

In another thread an anon mentioned he thought it was a euro jannie who was banning people while the US jannies who took over when the euros went to bed were letting it stay. It's just one day and just one board so no big deal but it's interesting to see how differently the moderation is at different times of day, especially for something that was on topic but apparently hit a jannie nerve.

Only about 15% of my post attempts actually succeed and "appear" on the boards. Almost invariable I'm now given a major 1-5 minute pre-post CAPTCHA timer and then I'm blocked by the generic "we think you are spam" wall. IRC told me to neck myself over it.

It's pretty uncommon to get banned "from BOT." The mods there are straight from reddit, and any minor infraction or offense is always elevated to a global ban, most of which are 3 days so you can't appeal and the mod is never held accountable.

I don't even think it's true--mod is most likely pulling the number out of her brown ass--but I've definitely caught quite a few 3 day global bans from some random comment on BOT that you'd never think would earn a ban.

/misc/ really is a containment zone, if they wanted to censor this board as much as they other ones they would easily. But what happens here leaks out to other places online, so I don't really see the strategy. Maybe dispersing us all causes more damage to the zeitgeist than having us all in one place, or it's for monitoring purposes

If moderation wanted to make any board a containment zone, then a ban for "racism outside of /b/" would be expressed as being banned from every board except /b/.

    >wrongfully flag people for crimes
That's already sort of happened with one of the AI chats creating a biography of a public figure that included criminal prosecutions that he was never subject to. Thing is there's not much you can do if an LLM's black box says you're a rapist or genocidal maniac. It's not like a blog where you can contact the author or their service provider to have the incorrect information removed. Best you can hope for is to make enough noise that the owner of the LLM service adds an output filter to your name and that the filter works for all cases.

I use it sometimes to search for something that I don't feel like rewording 80 times in Google and/or Bing, and then having to read through 50 fricking forums (usually reddit) from six years ago. Especially when some homosexual mod says "this was already asked and answered, thread is locked" or "DM'd you the solution". Fricking Black person, why is this one of the top options? However I noticed sometimes it'll literally make something up. I can't think of an example, but I've caught it saying outrageous things, and when asked it'll say that it was just having a little fun and being creative.
