I don't have this problem because I consoom mostly "((normal)" media, IYKWIM. You watch too much AI, and possibly too much weird other weird things.

My fingers look beautiful when I use them in my dream to fingerhotbabes

For me neither. Something that happens a lot in my dreams actually is me looking at my hands with spread fingers just before realizing it's a dream. After that I usually wake up.

    Fingers? Look at the face

honestly the faces I usually see are much better but I've had a few like this. I guess what I was getting at was the idea that we may have an algorithmic explanation for what we see in dreams, which is scary

You ever try sketching a life like hands? Quite difficult to make convincing. Faces are all the same, but hands have so many bones and joints and intricacies, mechanical connections that strain out relax depending on the position. I'm just saying... 2 eyes nose and mouth is ez you look at them all day long. Hands are engineering marvels.

Bony tentacles are hard to draw out.

consider the possible variations between faces and hands
with faces you have the mouth area, the direction the head is facing, and facial expressions, all things that can be averaged with enough similar faces (not to mention that most paintings portraying faces have the head facing the viewer and don't have crazy expressions like sneezing or laughing)
hand instead have an infinite amount of completely different combinations (5 fingers, 3 independent joints per finger, rotation of the forearm, rotation of the wrist, direction the arm is pointing at, etc)
also, I suspect stable diffusion (assuming you are using that) tends to try and use a small pool of similar sources for the face as better faces is one of their major selling points

Neither do most artists. Like today's "artists", they get most of it kinda right without fundamentals but fall flat on their face on details that require them, like hands and fingers.

Admittedly, people can go pretty far doodling hourglasses and boobies.

Say that after reading Baki, ridiculous I know. Battle mangakas have some of the best anatomical shit going on these days and prior.

        >Baki
Baki is just fucking weird. It gets some anatomy right but then completely goes insane in others.

What they call "the AI" is human dream brainpower harvested through the cell phones in our nightstands

Hands and faces are the hardiest facsimiles for AI. It's not something that can be duplicated easily.

My hands look like hands in my dreams. I've even been able to read text and clocks in my dreams, but the numbers and words will often change if I look away and then look back at them.
The biggest tell I've noticed in my dreams is that some dream characters, often people I don't recognize, will have yellowish-looking whites of their eyes.

Hands can vary a lot; 5 small sausages that can be in a variety of positions attached together as a hand that can be itself in plenty of different positions.

The body on the other hand (lol), does move all that much and is way more monolithic.

Here her hands seems to be a mix between closed fists and open hands.

AI is good with big shapes, but struggle with details basically.

Demons in humans form usually have some kind of deformations, backward facing hands or such since they can't duplicate the work of the divine or something like that
