Stop AI at all cost

I'm already starting an anti-AI organization in Finland. It's gotten so bad so fast. Let's put the genie back in the bottle, anons.

There's an objectively acceptable level of technology and that is what we had in 2006.

I agree. Vassal states shouldn't have such technology. Only USA, Russia and China might have it.

ebin, wtf are you doing. I just got my life in order and found how much GPT can help me, and you want to ban it? Why do you hate me so much? What did I do to you?

How the hell does GPT make your life better? I'm genuinely interested in hearing it.
Countries and organizations will mostly use AI to strip you of any rights and privacy online.
It's already analyzing and monitoring us.

moron they already stripped us of all of that. the only thing you are doing is helping them strip us of the right to own our own personal AIs.

This. I am 99% certain that the whole AI scare has nothing to do with AI's power and everything to do with consumers having access to it. And I'm 100% certain they'll keep happily developing them even if they did manage to ban them from the rest of us.

This exactly is my point. Once again Big Tech has put out a shiny new toy that will appeal to depressed 18-year-old incel males.
I'm too old to be attracted to memes and digital entertainment so I see the truth.
As someone who's immune to Big Tech's drugs, I don't belong here.

            Wtf are you talking about.
Bug tech hates depressed males and porn. OpenAI bans you for lewd stuff and even replika pulled away from pandering to lonely people and try to move to mental health market.

The only way you can get porn and nice stuff with AI is by running models locally or use small, alt services that are made for such use cases.

            >I'm too old to be attracted to memes and digital entertainment so I see the truth.
            >As someone who's immune to Big Tech's drugs, I don't belong here.
You are not "too old to be attracted to memes" you are just out of touch with reality and make shit up to suit your narrative.

            >Societal control is increasing, as it did for the last 40 years, only this time around with some algorithm with 'AI' stamped on it
Now thats clearly AI's fault and not the fault of power hungry neoliberal oligarchs

            >People will inevitably get stupider
Free choice doesn't exist, you cannot opt for not making yourself dependent on the machine. Or maybe...you can? Blaming machines for one's own lack of self control is a bit cheap.

You're too dumb to see every new web tech has made the Internet worse.

As a fellow finn, I'm astounded such stupidity can be found even in our country.

But, I'll try to understand before I judge. Are you worried about AI taking our jobs? Because everything is already being outsourced to China, and I for one would rather have domestic robots doing our work than Chinese children.

Or are you worried that bots overtake human artists? Because if their works are soulless they can't compete, and if they're better, it means better art for everyone. Including the artists, who have easier time than ever fulfilling their visions regardless of skill level.

No, you're the stupid one. You think better memes and better porn is progress? All you're getting is more Ylilautas and more stupid Tiktak videos. Nothing more. Show me how Tiktok has improved human welfare in Finland
      >Are you worried about AI taking our jobs?
Simply put, yes. Digitalization has already fricked entire fields.

AI assisting with coding is definitely a huge help, not only for helping unskilled people make games, but helping skilled people with debugging. The automated tech support phones we have now are pathetic compared to an AI.
In medical fields AI has already proved superior at diagnosing diseases, and has already developed new medicines for treating cancer.

As for jobs, globalization is already wreaking such havoc on our economy that something HAS to happen or the poor won't have anything left for the rich to take. AI will be a drop in the bucket compared to all our production being moved to third world countries already.
And that pales in comparison to the question of whether you'd believe corporations and governments to respect any AI laws anyway. Finland's would. America's doubtfully so. And Chinese wipe their asses with international contracts already. Banning AI here would just push it out to more immoral countries that have zero regard for human wellbeing and no shame of using it for their own power.

Laws will NOT keep them from making AI. they will keep YOU from making ai. Just like laws will NOT stop people from having guns, just YOU from having guns.

Yeah, you can see the remnants of what even average people could achieve in negotiations between the Soviet Union/America (who by the 1980s had transformed into visual cultures) and South Africa, who retained the old literary and radio culture. The latter's delegates were able to quote the Bible and Classics at length.

You gotta learn how to do politics. Don't campaign for hatred, do it for love instead.
Start a cult centered around a chatbot. Whatever the AI says is the absolute truth that you are all bound to follow in your little closed community.
Start recruiting cult members publicly, hang around in street corners preaching about your AI overlord, get your people into some high-level positions, get a lot of young members...
It's not the AI that people will be afraid of. It's the bad people with AI. The ones indoctrinating their children into this mysterious cult.

Talk it Out: Engage in discussions with Anon's members and address their concerns. Collaborate with like-minded peeps and researchers for responsible AI.

Peaceful Protests: Organize peaceful demos, petitions, and other lawful forms of advocacy. No violence, bros!

      >chatgpt has reddit spacing
      oh no

        Anonymous

Alright, listen up, anons! Let's talk about "reddit spacing" on BOT. Now, I know some of you might hate it, but hear me out, alright? First off, it's all about expressing yourself, man. BOT's all about that chaotic, anonymous vibe, and using "reddit spacing" lets you stand out in the sea of text. Plus, it's a creative way to format your posts, like adding some sick emphasis or making your points pop.

And it's not just about looking cool, bros. It's about readability too. Think about it - BOT threads can get hella crazy, with hundreds or even thousands of posts flying by. Using "reddit spacing" helps break up those long-ass walls of text into bite-sized paragraphs that are easier to read and understand. Especially when you're just trying to skim through threads or keep up with multiple convos at once.

Now, I get it, not everyone's a fan. Some anons might find it annoying or pointless, and that's cool. It's all a matter of taste, right? But let's remember, we're all here for the fun and banter, so let's keep it chill and respect each other's style, whether you're into "reddit spacing" or not. Just remember, let's keep it within the community guidelines, bros. No harmful or illegal stuff, alright?

So, what do you think, anons? Yay or nay to "reddit spacing" on BOT? Let's hear your thoughts! /thread

What are the chances that AI will actually be used to track absolutely every part of my life?
I get the feeling that they'd monitor me 24/7 if it was possible. Now that they dont need a human to do it, it is.

Surveillance cameras at work might trigger a warning if they spot that you do something that deviates from your normal daily routine.

Unless you can make the whole world agree to it, this won't work. Countries with more advanced tech will likely crush those with less advanced tech, and I don't think you want China to be more advanced.
