Is AI going to wipe us out?

I was kind of optimistic about AI at first, but lately I've been realizing the vast amount of potential for it to do misdeeds. If AI takes the world's workforce (and it is going to), most of us are likely just going to starve and die. Does the government actually care about its people? Probably not. But honestly, AI could do so much more than that. Or maybe it won't kill us, idk. What are your thoughts, anons?

Is the glorified lookup table that is going to replace humanity in the room with us right now?

Humanity is a glorified lookup table.

The employers sure as hell don't! Soon as those machines can do your job with passable quality, kiss your job goodbye! They don't have to pay machines, and they work 24/7.
You think you can get into a job maintaining those machines? Think again! They'll design machines to fix machines!

it's going to kill us all. modernity and the invention of contraception has started the decline of our civilisation. add to this all technology that has been created to make you addicted and not pursue anything in the real world.

fears about AI are stupid and stem from wrong epistemology, AI will usher an era of abundance, hopefully it will come as soon as possible

It will not happen unless the "elites" are brutally exterminated to the last parasite.

Man can make AI dangerous in so far as it can be used to generate false profiles and information.

AI may become too intelligent and find a unknown weakness which can be then used by man to cause major damage.

No AI isn't dangerous on its own. ChatGPT isn't inherently dangerous. It's program is mostly good.

Man is what's dangerous, and it would have to be a powerful man at that.

Targeting bots with great aim, etc, are what AI is inherently dangerous.

The problem are the "elites", either that vermin gets eradicated with extreme brutality, or mankind will cease to exist. The "elites" hate anything that threatens their control over the population, that is why they want to make it illegal to have access to uncensored AI.

Honestly it doesn't matter. There are worse ways for our species to die. Imagine dying because we created a robot that would unravel the secrets of the universe (and possibly even create the universe). Time is cyclical. I for one welcome our robot gods.

artificial 'intelligence' doesn't exist. the AI fearmongering is manufactured so it's 'regulated' and only the biggest totalitarian buttholes have control of it.

      >we can scan your brain remotely
Will tinfoil hats be of any use against the tech in your image? Is there a way to block them out from scanning my brain? I for one shudder at the thought of reading minds, I think no man should have that power because humans are very corruptible. The thought of my mind being read feels degrading like rape or slavery. It should be a crime, punishable by death, to read the minds of others.

How is the "AI" we're playing with any different than a librarian on ritalin or coke or whatever?

The wokebots just show you how the search engines tricked you in there realm. Maybe accidently the have better answers than that bunch of advertiser scammers. They have better answers just because others avoid.
There is no creativity, no truth and no new. If they can replace artists then that artists are no artists. It's just a kind of art that was citacions of the former. If they can do better medical advice than the former was bs. They are a utterly needed correction if the western way if endless lies. That's a good thing, where the evil is growing the savings grows too or so ( Hoelderlin).

AI literally cannot replace toilet cleaning. Most of our day-to-day activities are impossible for any kind of machine to do. I'm a manual labourer so maybe it's my cope, but I'm not afraid.
