Well the scenario in OP's post is that the AI has taken all jobs, so it's not like you're gonna be able to work even if you wanted to.
AI is not going to take all the jobs. Landlords, venture capitalists and politicians will still be around, along with a tiny caste of 145+ IQ programmers to maintain the AIs and military personnel to keep these people safe.
For everyone else, you are entirely correct: we won't be able to work. Nor will anyone help us. Our days are numbered. I don't expect to make it past 2040.

I would agree that we live in a socialist hellscape if we have universal consensus that the socialists we're talking about are the corporations and petty fiefs of capital that own and take more from their local public than they give back, and there are many of those parasites.
