Money is not required for life, anon. Stop buying into israeli propaganda. We actually do much more without using a fiat currency

But they do? What do you think production is used for?
GDP is money that goes to the people. About 65% is directly consumed by the working class, 10% is consumed by the rich and 15% is invested in physically building the country, in buildings and machinery like steam turbines

              Anonymous

Oh forgot to account, and the remaining 10% is used for "common good" things like funding the army, schools, roads and so on.

UBI is stupid. Not everyone deserves money. Just do BI for all of those with degrees or those wth certain skillset level. The more educated you are the more BI you receive.

You don't need fucking money when the AI is doing every thing for you. You will just lay back and do nothing and let the AI do every thing for you.

      Anonymous

Well, the AI will probably not be programed to do stuff for YOU, but instead to do stuff for the person who created/commissioned the AI, so they can lay back and do nothing.

Who is "they"? It will be AI from top to bottom, such that humans wont be in the value creation chain. Instead, humans will likely be given anything physically possible as robots will do their best to replicate human desires, within the realm of physics. If that means creating a sex bot with flesh light for 21st century man, thats what it will be. But humans of the future will likely get better enjoyment from doing something else entirely. By the time there's end2end for robot value creation, stuff like Neuralink would seem primitive. We'd likely be rolling in technologies that would make us appear God like. Ability to manifest all forms of material substance like FGO's Moon complex, be subject to any form of reality distortion effects, illusions, hallucinations, virtual reality, summon of "magic", etc

That all depends on what governing system we have at the time. You can also pay an engineer or have another AI create an AI for you to your liking.

Ideally we'd get a robo utopia, where robots do all the jobs and humans can focus on art, sports and jerking off.
Realistically I'm not sure that will happen

Humans get "improved" so we can focus on our core competency. What that is, I don't know if anybody can say for sure. Hard mode: Thinking of something that is neither super great nor super terrible.

Realistically, AI will take all the good jobs (ones that require intelligence and/or creativity, as machines can mimic both in an inhumanly efficient manner) while menial and degrading jobs will be left to disenfranchised humans

        Anonymous

        >ones that require creativity
It's niche, but I doubt art and literature will ever be fully occupied by AI. Reading a poem or looking at an artpiece just isn't quite the same when it's not made by a fellow human I believe.
I guess some other fields like philosophy could have something similar going on

Ai and robots get the jobs and create "goods/profit"
    gobinment take the profit/goods
    gobinment spread profits/goods to citizens

    how its going to happend:
    1. you will have nothing, and you will be happy
Ok, you will have SOMETHING but masive consumption reduction is going to be main theme in the future. plus in "normal citizen pod" theres not that much space for "goods"

    2. money for nothing
i guess for murica citizens that could be a shocker
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_basic_income

for some reasons it is mostly discused/planed in Germany, but very recently even Poland started first debates on topic
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_basic_income_in_Germany

kep in mind that expected income off that sort would be on "filthy peasants scrubing pot from bottom" level (aka point 1)

    about funny limits plan

    EU want to:

    >limit energy consumption by 12% to 2030
    https://gmk.center/en/news/the-eu-has-agreed-to-reduce-energy-consumption-by-11-7-by-2030/
in a world where we use more an more energy every next year, AI that consume energy like crazy, AND where EU want all cars electric after 2030.. big lol

    >decrase meat consumption by 70% to 2030 and 85% to 2050
    https://www.greenpeace.org/eu-unit/issues/nature-food/2664/eu-climate-diet-71-less-meat-by-2030/

    >kill private car ownership
    https://neonnettle.com/news/19677-world-economic-forum-calls-to-end-wasteful-private-car-ownership

shit, even reduce purchase of new clothing
in short: You villl have nothing, and you vill be happy

        mah freedoms
        i like my burgers
i dont want to live in a pod
i like my electonics, and want even more electronics in future = higher energy usage. not only energy usage didnt fall EVER in history, someone needs to be seriously retarded to think it will fall. for example in my goddam shithole govs for decades pushing "throw away your coal/wood heater and get electric ones" and "throw away your gas stove and get electic ones". When everything is running on fucking electicity, usage of that is not going to fall

theres also that i allready live in "poor part of the world" = lesser consumption, im not going to suffer extra to cover burgers lifestyle

    >If AI replaced all jobs then how would humans get money?
    >implying the "elite" aren't going to use AI to wipe out anyone with an IQ lower than 116

They will likely do this not by force but by leveraging their massive wealth to buy up all the shit that would be a source of income to the laymen and watch them tear one another apart for the scraps as they live in the garden of Eden. It will be like the movie Elysium if AI doesn't evolve so fast that not even the combined intellect of humanity can control it. We will get a taste of our own medicine if this occurs, just like we don't think twice about the plants, animals and insects that die when we destroy acres of forest and move tons of soil to build a highway the AI will very much do the same thing to us.

The jobs you have will become increasingly meaningless and stupid, untill the only thing you can do is check if the robots are racist yet and classifying datasets. It's if everything continues like now.

If AI replaced all jobs then how would humans get money?

Also AI is mostly mere tools and not autonomous. It won't replace jobs for the most part but change them and e.g. raise efficiences. Other labor reduction methods are more important such as cutting away destructive jobs like car production, hazardous chemicals productions, airplane manufacturing, misleading advertising, deforestation for beef...or better standardization so we don't have 10000 different products of the same kind produced differently when 20 would be more than enough and also cheaper, more sustainable, and healthier.

wrong, you still have owners of the companies/businesses even if everything was automated from the day-to-day CEO to all the tasks related to running the company

      >Everything is free.
well everything you need to survive yes. maybe UBI or maybe just free whatever you need based on your ID or something. but UBI does not mean free jetskis for everyone or shit like that. you want a jetski you find something to do that your peers enjoy, so you get some extra money so you get that jetski. prostitution will still be a good option, for example.

        Anonymous

Why do you need a UBI? Why wouldn't the jet skis be free? They would be manufactured by robots and all it would cost is electricity which is also probably free because the entire energy industry will be operated by robots.

          Anonymous

You have to have some sort of system to ration what people can get, as eventually you run into resource limits even with super advanced AI. I mean what if someone does not want just a jetski, but a whole fleet of automated replica WWII warships so they can have mock battles against other naval enthusiast? Or somebody else wants a replica of the Giza Pyramids to bury their grandpa in. People will always want more.

          Anonymous

brother I was talking about the beginnings of UBI. this will be a progressive thing. we start with basics then upgrade to each creating his own universe or some shit like that. but at first bare necessities and if you want fun you'll still have to work for it, we'll still be bound by resource availability.

imagine you buy a robot and send it in your place to work. and it does it better than you could. you just need to charge that bitch up. and some maintenance. free money.
problem is that companies will not employ your robot, they'll just buy their own instead. hence UBI.

      Anonymous

      1) robots in most cases are not autonomous but get integrated in workflows
      2) in many cases you don't use a robot but rather software
      3) humans are often cheaper than robots
