It's curated to be shit. The site and most major subreddits are run and heavily moderated by shitty people, and any non-shitty comments are deleted and the author banned/shadowbanned, so only people with the shitty opinions are allowed to participate and it becomes a giant self-reinforcing shit bubble.
Everything on there is just so comically one-sided. It's something I'd expect to see from a Chinese website censored by the CCP or some other entity that lacks the ability to actually come up with propaganda sophisticated enough to seem organic.
catch a new post before it reaches the front page and sort comments by controversial, you can watch as all non scripted unapproved wrongthink comments are hidden and deleted in real time
The mods.
I got banned from a hobby subreddit for telling people to not spam their shitty podcast. The mods are unironically worse than BOT jannies.
Reddit is weird because they have unpaid mods, yet they are a multi billion dollar corporation. The mods of reddit are essentially volunteer Walmart greeters.
Unpaid moderation makes sense for >Small websites (like lost media wiki) >Well known but low budget communities (like /a/) >Websites that don't turn a profit (like BOT) >Websites that are non-profits (like suicide prevention forums)
But Reddit is none of those things. They are a billion dollar corporation that is part of a multi billion dollar conglomerate with investment from some of the worlds largest banks, financial institutions, media outlets, and celebrities. They could afford to pay mods of major subreddits but don't because they know that those egomaniacs will do it for the validation of "contributing" and "making Reddit a safe space" even if paid, unbiased moderation would be an improvement. They don't care, they have their volunteer Walmart greeters.
>DAE believe current thing? >How old were you when you realized current thing good? >Here's a picture of a hard working POCLGBTRANSABLED person smiling after getting a $50k loan to start their basket weaving business
what 'things' come into feeds is propagated by bots, a combination of corporate interest + DNC (and by extension the WEF).
the commenters are not bots, they're mostly just lonely narcissist that want people to read their irrelevant blogs.
however the moderators believe the propaganda put forth by corporations/DNC/WEF, and so they control the conversation and delete dissenting posts.
e.g.
saw a post this morning, black guy talking about bi-weekly pay is a scam.
commenters mostly from europe saying, naw, monthly is great.
the reality is the targeted audience is americans, so workers get annoyed and petition their company to use Stripe, for daily payments instead of bi-weekly; while european companies don't want to pay for the service.
so it's honestly quite complex, how it get so fucked.
e.g.
wallstreetbets posts bullish shit TA in the evenings. Well, you'd have to be retarded to be bullish on the economy at the moment. And most of the commenters disagree with him. However he was looking at a daily window, vs most people at least plan a month out. so you have bots pushing the shit TA up, because it's pro-government/status quo, but all the commenters know it's retarded.
The bots are much worse than they were a few years ago. They're much more obviously bots now, and a lot of posts get immediately downvoted because people have seen the same exact posts from single-post accounts so often now.
Hello, i think you are mistaken anon. Although there could be AI bots active on these boards, its highly unlikely that it's happening. In fact, most would consider this a conspricy theory, which in this case, would be spread by russian disinformation agents to sow distrust. As valid and empowered human beings, we should just ignore this issue to hurt them the most.
>How the fuck is this site so goddamn shitty?
It is essentialy an official forum for the United States government. I'm not even joking. Dissent is punished and groupthink is the "highest good". Fucking repulsive.
It's run by batshit insane people that structure the platform around narrative control. The people they have moderating the major subs are either people paid by thinktanks and NGOs or jobless losers that live off government funding, allowing them to spend 24/7 abusing the most power they've ever had in their lives.
The admins are so committed to narrative control, that they even memory-holed one of the founders because his messaging was inconvenient to their current operations
Is 4chan any better? 90% of threads are the same tired rants about women, trannies, garden gnomes and ecelebs. 90% of relies are low effort name calling, schizo bible quotes and animated porn
I’ve been here for far too long, it’s more of an ingrained habit to post here than by intention. If I had only just discovered this site in its current state I’d never come back
me too, but it's still better then reddit.
I may not agree with everything that's said here, but people are much more likely to read what you write then on leddit.
I've browsed 4chan since 2011, so my brain has evolved a highly advanced information filtration system which allows me to ignore all the things you listed.
Cults of personality take control. Imagine if you will a version of BOT where namegays managed to become admins and then hired all their chud discord friends to take up every janitor role. Normal people might go on reddit briefly to talk about shit but it's the 24/7 weirdos that expect you to recognize their name that have all the power.
CCP's Tencent corp owns most of its shares and because of that have a lot of sway on things. That's why, similar to TikTok, you see so much degeneracy promoted.
It's just another weapon they're using to destroy society. Many such cases.
There are many bots but the main factor is unironically a bunch of middle aged chuds who have no job and no life who conspired together to grab all the moderator positions they could using every waking second of their existence for 10 years. They did so under the supposed banner of 'fighting hate'. They managed to make reddit the most strictly and biased moderated social media site online by far. Wrongthink on chud subjects is punished immediately and most harshly as are subreddits that even stray close to being terf friendly, thats how you know that trannies really rule that site.
It's against communist China and North Korea so it's based.
If you blocked Latvian IPs, it would be a lot better.
go back
Go be a sherpa somewhere else.
>Go be a sherpa somewhere else.
go back
Go be a disgusting non-white olive oil slurper somewhere else.
everything CIA touches becomes shit
fakeness can't be anything else than shit
>Ashooh
Bless you
bots and NPCs are so close in capability now it's almost an irrelevant difference.
the NPC take example from the bots
so the bots are actually better than the npc
still not an improvement
>not knowing real people are the bots

>shit bubble
Yes - it’s one big giant bubble of shit - biggest retards out there, all sure they’re right because their censored bubble reinforces it

Bots and NPCs yeah
The founders sold influence to the garden gnomes and the ccp

They are socially lobotomized in such a way that they are not able to deviate from whatever 'good thing' is popular.
Tried it once 10 yrs ago. Found it gay af
Someone post the Atlantic Council connection thing so this thread gets deleted and everyone gets their IPs traced.

The dopamine from the upvotes warped their minds. You must conform to the CIA narrative.

It’s all porn and predditors
you dont get that sort of entitled self agrandizing retardation from machines
the answer is gays with keyboards
I liked BOT better when people used to at least pretend they aren't Reddit experts.
I wouldn't worry, 99% of them are vaxxies. Their taxies will arrive suddenly.

Oh the irony
>Australia
Your entire country is a fucking meme. Learn how to pronounce the word "no" before trying to criticize anyone.
