Not a big evangelion fan but I do like the colors and all. Everything on it is supposed to be evangelion themed and limited edition so probably more expensive than it’s regular counterpart.
It has about $400 overprice, of course, being US prices and they are not the exact pieces (some have an overprice to try to resemble it), things that should be changed there is that it was a KF and the source should be 800w plus gold
asus boards are nice, im also partial to higher end gigabyte boards. IME they have been more reliable
just never by asrock or MSI. too many board failures, they cheap out on so much shit it's not funny
for ram anything from kingston or g.skill is going to be just fine. CL16 and 3000+ MHZ is the way to go, get at least 16gb (2*8gb) so you can upgrade in the future. make sure you're always getting a kit of two sticks for dual channel
and a note on the trident z ram from g.skill: if you have an AMD CPU get the trident.z neo otherwise the RGB lighting does not work correctly (with regular trident.z and an AMD CPU the lighting will be stuck in rainbow mode, and all sticks out of sync, until you run the software (which prevents EAC and battle.eye anticheat from launching btw) and it will only stay as your settings while the software is running. the neo doesnt have this problem on AMD CPUs)
That spear is to powerful for Asuka. Only for Rei.
it always stuck in my mind that the only one who ever actually USED the spear was rei, and yet all the marketing has asuka, who was KILLED by the spear holding it...
Asuka waits on Germany's beaches to personally welcome Mohammud and Jamal when they arrive off the boat from Somalia!
nice try but she is half japanese and lives there now
There's really no reason to choose DDR5 unless you really want to pay extra for speed that you won't notice. DDR4-3200 and 3600 are all you need for casual and semi-competitive gaming.
>unit 01 editions of everything you could possibly imagine >absolutely no merch for units 02 or 06 outside of a few t-shirts or fashion accessories

Hai gais.
Do you think 2k is a good price for this rig (all new)?
that motherboard alone is about $600 for the eva version, and $400 for the regular one. i like evangelion and i like merch, but theres no way I can justify spending 50% more for it to be green and purple
ok, but thats still $400 you don't need to spend just for a purppe and green color combination and the evangelion branding
you could use thay $400 to buy a can of purple and green spray paint ($4 each, plus clear coat is $12 all up), $2 worth of masking tape and cardboard for the stencils, and spend the remaining $386 on 12 of picrel to decorate it with and still have a few bucks left over
How much money do you have? What country do you live in? what do you want it for? the general guide for pc build already tells you enough for a cheap build. the cheapest is either intel + amd (12400 + rx 6600) or full amd (5600x + rx6600) both options with 16gb of ram in ddr4, 1tb ssd, a 700w power supply and a mid-range motherboard you get between 900 $ more or less depending on what you add more. wait for black friday to see if the prices drop more, something cheaper than that would be a pc with 5600g or a 12100 with an rx 6400 that is around $450-$500 more or less.
I could spend the 2k I'm just trying to make smart choices and saving some cash I guess. I live in mexico, unfortunately. I want it for casual gaming I guess.
Here's a quick 1080/1440 build I threw together for around 1200 USD
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZtxkRv
You could go down to a 3060 and a smaller PSU for more savings and play 1080 at a high framerate. This is the upgraded version of the build that I have for 1080p only gaming and I can regularly push over 100fps on AAA titles.

is the gtx1650 a good option? that's the one I currently have. would it fit a b660?

Yeah it fits a b660. All graphics cards and motherboards use a standardized PCIe x16 slot so no matter the motherboard, your graphics card with fit.
As for the GTX1650 itself, it's an ok card and will only be suited strictly for 1080p gaming. If you want a budget card that's better than the 1650, I'd go with an RTX3050.

Here's an even cheaper build ONLY for 1080p gaming for just under 750 USD.

There's no need for AIO unless it's a crazy small SFF build with no airflow and space. Tower CPU coolers with dual fans are all that's needed for most of the builds out there.

Doesn't seem too bad to me. You are probably paying more for the branding though.
yeah, its not that bad, but you're paying for aesthetics, looks pretty custom to me.

Worth it?
I don't know, where do you live? How much does it cost to assemble separately?
I'd estimate that to be around a $100 markup, so yeah, I've seen far worse
2000 and all you get is a 3070? This some bullshit
DDR5 is the problem, go DDR4.
why DDR4
The boards and memory are cheaper, just as fast.
whats a good ddr4 memory and board?
Im getting this ram for my asus ddr4 board.
The ram above is more expensive due tot he lightening?
>and board
I'm an Asus junky, PRIME, ROG Strix.

80% as performant for 20% of the cost

it's not really 50% more, is it? I think it's like 400usd more than regular pricing, is it not?

If you can't be arsed to build one just buy it
If you are an Eva fan it looks like a cool PC if they've pre-configured the rgb
I've honestly never really, fully, built one. I'd probably have to pay someone to help me or ask around.
Are you looking to play on 1080, 1440, or 4K? Because for casual gaming, you could get way with something that's a little over 1000 USD.
I guess 1080/1440. What would be good specs for a decent 1k gaming rig?
