>Over the next 7 days I gradually lose interest
>repeat for Dalle, StableDiffusion, Elevenlabs, etc.
When the singularity hits is it just going to be boring? I'm tech aware and realize how big these things are but I just lose interest very quickly. if I get a VR waifu with a 600IQ capable to accommodating my every need and desire will I just stop caring in a few weeks?

You're consoomerbrained and crave something different.
After you've experienced the most insanely believable AI chabot gf of all time, you'll probably just try to get some irl luddite amish pussy and you'll swear that it's the ultimate thrill.

    tl;dr
    life's kinda cyclical

      this
after this you will become gay because it's the next "taboo" and therefore rebellious thing
then Coca Cola will air an ad urging you to return to your tradwife and the cycle continues until you're on your deathbed and wealthless from a lifetime of labor

Pretty much. I got bored with SD months ago already and ChatGPT a month ago. It's just not very stimulating or interesting, humans need adversity, strife, pain, obsession, scarcity or thirst for knowledge to keep them going. We need to create not consume.

Having everything handed to you on a silver platter is extremely boring and mind numbing. Even food can get boring this way. Your needs are met but at what cost?

Most just give you, with some promptfu, exactly what you expect and imagine. Once you get used to them there is no surprise, mystery or intrigue. After all, the thrill is in the hunt, but the result is usually very ordinary once you have it.
Also, if all you have in your life is consumption, it will leave you feeling very empty.

      >Once you get used to them there is no surprise, mystery or intrigue
      Basically what these anons said.
What's amazing about these AIs is the fact that we managed to make them exist.
They don't give you anything you hadn't already seen before produced by humans. So they'll quickly just become uninteresting tools, as if you've had seen a hammer for the first time in your life.

I mean GPT is cool and all, but you can get the same effect hiring writers to write about any topic for pennies on the dollar and probably get better results. The redpill here is that text is kind of boring as a medium.
    >Dalle
Samey kind of boring surreal art. Ask yourself this before this came out how much art were you consuming on the regular?
    >does that mean singularity will be boring
I wish. The singularity is probably going to be the end of all white collar labor. There will be mass unemployment and probably a revolution. Hell at that point AI will probably be able to make video games specifically tailored to what you want to play. It'll probably make the meta verse more than a meme and then at that point you'll be able to experience anything you want. If that bores you I think nothing will satisfy you.

Did you care about this sort of content before AI? For example, the coombrains who spent hours daily trolling for gold on boorus and twitter are still enjoying SD. Everyone else who was there for the novelty left.
I think it just that AIs haven't transformed something you care about. Or maybe you just don't care about anything all that much.

That’s the human condition. Whether you believe the rest of his ideals or not, Hitler was right when he said “struggle is the father of all things.” To be a human is to seek obstacles to overcome, with everything about our existence arising from this. We are bored when we are unchallenged. When all problems are solved, we will make up new ones.

Once you have everything, once there are no more goals to be met, then all you will feel is emptiness. We are enslaved to this nature and cannot change it, and you’d best hope we don’t or it’d mean the end of all progress.

But i disagree, the current state of Ai isn't perfect nor can give you anything as you want that to be, theres human struggles in developing Ai, everyday as we achieved a new goal with these new tools more challenges surfaces because this is different to what we as humans have seen, life is cyclical yes but for a cycle to exist there needs to be obstacles that have to be surpassed and it's the same with these new Ai technologies which is i think it's more of a you problem rather than an Ai problem, it's the way that you yourself use these tools is what ultimately limits the Ai, a lot of these people keep talking about waifus and porn but really if that's all you think the Ai can do to impress you then you are definitely going to bored of It, as

said, we need to create, not consume and that's exactly what you can do with AI, create, the evolution of image Ai is an example of this, the people that keep developing Ai are in act of constant creation, improvement.
The people that the most worried about Ai are those people who cared the less about it before any of this happened, so just think about it, maybe it's you, not the Ai.

I think its very normal OP. We got handed a tool, it was interesting and cool, but you can't be wowed by it forever. In the last week I used GPT two times for a few seconds. First week was several hours per day. Didn't even try to hop on the SD train, after a few prompts I realized it had a learning curve seeing what others were getting but I'm not an artist, I don't care enough. Sure it was impressive, but after a few months is just another thing that exists. Before SD photoshop existed and could create amazing stuff but again I'm not an artist why should I care. Imo it's all pretty normal. Elevenlabs? I got a chuckle on anon attempts but again after everything that came before it's just another gimmick. The only people going apeshit over this are sciency kids and redditors and coomers ofc but they were gone long before kek

If you use it as a toy it loses it novelty pretty fast, if you use it as a tool you don't, its a fantastic tool, not a great toy.

What happened is that you fell for a hype train that was in and out of the station in about a week. GPT is boring, it sucks, and will never accomplish anything more than writing broken chemistry papers for teenagers and tech news articles that you couldn't even tell if they were from a real person in the first place. The same is said about Dall-E and StableDiffusion.

ML on BOT and other boards is simply a troll topic.

Because those are unfinished betas, you need to have an entire prompting phd and a cluster of A100's to get something remotely good from SD, GPT does have a memory of godfish and breaks entirely when you have action or multiple characters on the scene. GPT-4 may solve those issues, but openai is gonna lobotomise it to such degree you wont notice the difference

Same thing with sex with my first gf.
It was so crazy good that we did it like 6 times on a single day once.

Now it is still good but also kinda boring.
