    No, it isn't.

    >Why would anyone find this impressive?
Because most people don't realize just how little intellect, understanding and sentience there is behind most human rhetoric so they cope by pretending the computer is very smart for sounding like the average midwit. Easier to process than the realization that the average word-thinking midwit is nonsentient.

Daily reminder that there only ever was one goalpost: for the "AI" to be able to learn and do anything a human can learn and do. All other goalposts were set by your corporate handlers for the purpose of marketing to meat drones like you.

Expect that it can. Plug gpt on a proof assistant and suddenly the bullshit will be automatically filtered, outputting only valid theorems. Then you retrain it with those new theorems and repeat ad infinitum

It isn't being that smart though it is essentially just trawling through massive amounts of data from search engines for a couple of the best answers. It is like saying I am a genius because you set me a research question that has already been solved as an exam and let me use google, and I come back having copied the key points from the paper kek

GPT-3 is a state-of-the-art language model that has been trained on a large dataset of text from the internet. It uses advanced machine learning techniques, such as neural networks, to generate human-like text. Due to its large amount of training data and sophisticated architecture, GPT-3 is able to generate text that is often difficult to distinguish from text written by a human. This is considered impressive because it demonstrates the capability of machine learning to understand and generate natural language.

People who aren't using GPT as part of their daily lives are uncreative morons - the same type of person who would spawn into minecraft in 2010 for the first time and immediately say "this is boring" without even trying to dig or do anything.

Here's some things GPT has helped me with already:
    - critiquing my song lyrics, and creating song-writing exercises to help me improve.
    - suggested books on niche topics I am interested in, and then contrasted those books with other books I have read, summarized those books, and provided commentary on those books
    - gave me recommendations regarding the building codes in my country/province which were highly accurate
    - answered tax accounting questions for filing my corporate income tax
    - written python code which I then used in a script to call its own API, for book-writing software
    - write work emails, where I only need to feed it bullet points and it turns it into pretty languages
    - simulated opinions from different perspectives on philosophical questions I'm interested in
    - gave some of the best answers to "who would in in a fight" questions I've ever seen, including citing specific scenes from comic books and movies

I can't say what the future will be but this tool is insanely useful. I see a potential hell and a potential heaven in our a near future. I'm not sure anything else is possible.

If you were more specific in your critique, for example if you pointed out what made my examples mundane, then it would continue the thread discussion. But with this reply you have simply called me a name and contributed less than the allegedly insubstantial quality of my own post.
For instance, see attached image. I defined a spooky scale and got GPT to give me items ranked by this scale. I find this interesting. I think other anons will too. What do you have to contribute?

      Minecraft is dog shit.
Seriously. Every achievement in minecraft would have been amplified by spending time in the relevant field. People building circuits in minecraft are the worst kind of moron, followed next by the "creative" types that could just learn photoshop.
No zoomer homosexual. Minecraft is not the pinnacle of anything. The 8 bit graphics do not capture the imagination. The crafting system isn't unique, but tedious. The contraptions are not interesting.
      Same goes for Legos.
