Might as well ksm myself. ChatGPT finishes coding assignments way faster than I do, it answers whatever questions I throw at it with impeccable accuracy.

Yes. Cope all you want but biggest tools implement AI in already

And? Engineers don't copy paste random snippets online until things work like the average codemonkey that might be replaced by a chatbot. Certain things in EDA programs have already been automated for years, do you really think them using ML algorithms to improve those makes engineers somehow redundant? Placement and routing in chip design for example haven't been done by hand for decades, them using some ML stuff to make it better only makes my job easier. Do you even know what an EE does?

Yes anon, I'm aware the programs are heavily automated and here you are saying "AI will never take over.. JUST BECAUSE"!
              >ML stuff to make it better only makes my job easier
Yes, that's what machines replacing people means.

                >"AI will never take over.. JUST BECAUSE"!
Nice reading comprehension, maybe it will, I'm not an oracle and never said it will never happen. What I responded to is this nonsensical claim
                >AI will kill EE even harder
I only pointed out that the only current usage of ML in the field is cadence using some ML algorithms to improve PNR, so quit the le it wont happen strawman. The lack of any replies at all to

                >biggest tools
                name 5

doesn't seem to indicate I missed the next big AI thing TM that will replace engineers either. There's not even a proper PCB autorouter(yet) that can outperform people let alone something that actually designs circuits. To my knowledge there isn't anything that can design analog circuits at all. Chatgpt can spit out some verilog but it fails to do anything more complicated than a simple mux(which can be easily copied online).
Now compare that to the codemonkeys that are panicking because it can write functional code. The lowest hanging fruit in EE for le ebin AI takeover is HDL because it resembles regular code in that it has a defined syntax and is text only. Unlike regular code there's almost no quality HDL (or proper info for that matter) that you can find online so good luck getting training data unless you convince all the big chip companies to hand over their HDL code. Sure, EEs aren't completely immune to this but you have to be delusional or be coping extra hard to think it looks worse for EEs.
                >Yes, that's what machines replacing people means.
                >engineer uses computer to do task A which hasn't been done manually for over 2 decades
                >company comes up with better program that performs task A with better results
                >somehow engineer is replaced
care to tell me who's replaced by the program doing the same task better?

                >And? Engineers don't copy paste random snippets online until things work
                Is that using ICs?

                >Is that using ICs?
Design an active filter and tell me how much work you had to do besides decide which op amp IC to use. Also who do you think makes the ICs :^)

i heard him on a podcast once and he was making complete sense then said something along the lines of "power isn't at the root of blah blah blah its the free association of consenting individuals" someone who is initiated please tell me, confirm my suspicions. is peterson an attempt by the cato types to rebrand hyper free market capitalism? is it a way to sneak those values into mass culture again so they can be internalized? because if theres something that needed a rebranding its that bullshit

also he went on to say if you thought the motivations of those in power was power itself or to enrich oneself then that shows what kind of person you are, which was a jarring thing to hear. isn't this guy suppose to be a psychologist? that's 120 IQ "you're projecting" homosexual brain stuff. Oh you dont like gays? That's because you're secretly a gay person

Consent is more powerfull than power itself.
But as for the free market capitalism, yes, yes he does.
And he forgets how big of a shithole it can produce.
You can consider FDA executive branch being connected(jobs and under table money) to big pharma and big food as things that would happen in free market capitalism, just that instead of FDA you would have an independent body you would pay a monthly subscription to(and FDA is funded through taxation anyway, so incentive for more is there).

Seurity is also not going anywhere, if anything it is getting more attention.
