It's obvious most people talking about AI on here are just normie tourists. Give them an AI board and return bot back to 2019 era

What you don't realize, is that this is the AI board. We just allow you from time to time make those stupid "my OS is better than your OS" posts.
AI isn't a broad enough common interest. The issue is basically almost all AI stuff is strictly tied to tech, and a small amount is only science so it would belong on /sci
The issue is as all the big tech companies and tech products get more and more invested in AI, if there were a separate AI board and AI discussion was banned here then there would have to be a weird silence talking about a lot of topics. If apple releases a new iphone with AI integration into its chips or software everyone would have to selectively cut out parts of the discussion, or if Google made a big AI announcement BOT would just have to pretend it doesn't exist.
AI talk belongs on BOT. I feel there should however be an AI announcements general, an AI discussion general and an AI programming/projects general, and those topics should be relegated to the generals
