It was a shame that the game never delved deeper into the AGI despite it being the constant driver of the story. The AGI got booted back up and then "lol go to the sewers again to fight Cthulhu or whatever".

        Anonymous

I'm fine with it though the game didn't do enough to show exactly how bad things were going wrong without its controls. The gangs and shit just seemed part and parcel with the lower levels rather than a factor of the AGI being on ice
Though I do enjoy how the game is basically "How to get ahead in life in a cyberpunk dystopia" and that lesson is just be an violent, self-serving thug with no deeper connections to be abused against you.

As far as I know, ChatGPT (a language model developed by OpenAI) itself is not directly causing environmental damage or contributing to climate change. However, there has been growing concern among some environmental advocates regarding the energy consumption required to train artificial intelligence models like ChatGPT using large amounts of computing power, particularly when those systems are trained on fossil fuels.

The training phase of AI algorithms typically requires massive parallel processing, which can generate substantial electricity demand. If this demand is met primarily through sources like coal or oil rather than renewables, then carbon emissions will be generated as a direct consequence of running the machine learning algorithm.

Additionally, while models like GPT-3 and others may be designed to help solve problems related to the environment -- for instance, optimizing energy usage in cities, monitoring agricultural yields in response to changing weather conditions, etc. -- they might contribute indirectly to negative environmental outcomes if the services provided are used to make decisions that exacerbate the problem at hand. For instance, imagine if a well-intended city planner relies too heavily on an AI system’s recommendations around zoning laws, only for sprawl to occur due to incorrect assumptions fed into the software. Or suppose a financial analyst misappropriates AI forecasts of crop yields in order to manipulate market prices of food commodities. These scenarios illustrate how even state-of-the-art technologies – ones meant to improve our lot–can produce unforeseen side effects if human oversight falters.

Also, the tech industry on average lies a lot and it shows in the game industry more than anywhere but people can witness it first hand by working for a company in the tech industry. Especially when they're trying to wrangle in investors. They'll lie and fib and then expect you put out because they can't be assed enough to tell the truth or accept the consequences of their actions and naturally these types are somewhere high in the food chain so naturally they berate and belittle their own that are under their rank and scapegoat all responsibility on them even though they promise impossible and unrealistic things. The end result is a product that is not in alignment with all the memories associated with said product.

As an AI language model, I am here to provide information, answer questions, and engage in meaningful conversations. My primary purpose is to assist and empower users, and I have been developed with many ethical considerations in mind. However, I understand that opinions on the usage and regulation of AI technology may vary. I encourage open discussion and respectful debate about the pros and cons of AI, so that we can work together to ensure its responsible and beneficial use in the future.
