How to use ChatGPT for optimal results?
Many sources suggest that a short prompt specifying a single task followed by texts for the task to be carried out on is the best approach.
It does an okay job improving the cohesion and quality of writing of a piece of text when prompted with the "Act as an AI Writing Tutor" (https://github.com/f/awesome-chatgpt-prompts)
But that doesn't really work when the task is not atomic, but rather to integrate information in steps before providing the desired output.
For example, how to use ChatGPT 4 (assuming it's actually the best version for this kind of thing) to write a killer motivation letter for grad admissions? The goal is to feed it relevant applicant information and make it write a letter on par with Ivy admits.
To achieve that, it has to first be fed with:
-key information from CV
-the current motivation letter (in hopes it discerns and infers relevant ideas and discards the weak points)
-uni and programme characteristics so that it can tailor the letter and make it seem like the candidate is a perfect match
Are there strategies allowing for using ChatGPT 4/3.5 for this kind of task? Perhaps there is other technology available to consider?
