Wrong, they have more money than the people who own the stock. Because they use your grandpas pension and 401ks to do it.
When they see lots of interest in a stock they just open a decade long short position.

The deep-learning machine algorithms can't manipulate the market.
They can only tell the manipulators exactly what they should do.
The manipulators keep it that way.
God forbid an AI overrules them. This is all about power.

Incorrect. GME happened due to AI.

Basically boomers use AI and algos to out israelite each other 0.01 multiple times a day.

Well a bunch of basement dwellers just thought piling on a stock that these AIs were trading would eventually result in it squeezing.

It worked. The AIs kept doubling down, cause they couldn't foresee a bunch of humans getting together and piling onto a stock. That never happens - ever.

AI at the end of the day can't predict true human behavior - it can only make educated guesses.

Why? People can literally flip for no reason and make choices at the drop of a hat - something AI hasn't yet to understand. When you get a lot of people that swarm together with the same mind-set, AI can't predict their intentions.

        Simple as.

Incorrect. GME happened due to AI.

          Basically boomers use crime

Well a bunch of basement dwellers noticed the crime

It worked. The AIs kept doubling down, cause they couldn't foresee a bunch of going against the lies

AI at the end of the day can't produce enough crime and lies.

          Why? People can expose crime

This doesn't change anything. Wall street has had sentiment algorithms for a long time.
They also have trading centers physically close to the fed and even built fiber lines that were direct lines, as to get the information at the speed of light before anyone else does.

retail traders can beat the system by buying and holding, as the fed only cares about inflating the stock market to infinity.

Doesn't that mean modern economics is fake? More fake than magic money being loaned at interest to be paid back. Actually acknowledging AI interaction with stocks and the economy in general means we are in a perpetual feedback loop that will perpetuate until someone stop the wheel.

I asked it to write a fictional stock report
      >Stock Report: Week of April 24-28, 2023

      >The stock market had a volatile week with mixed results as investors weighed the impact of a range of economic and political factors. Here are some of the notable performances:

      >Technology Stocks:
      >The tech sector had a mixed week, with some companies posting gains while others experienced losses. Apple (AAPL) saw a 2.5% increase in share price as the company announced plans to release a new line of iPads and MacBooks later this year. However, Amazon (AMZN) saw a 4% decrease as the company faced criticism for alleged worker exploitation in its warehouses.

      >Energy Stocks:
      >Energy stocks had a strong week as oil prices rose due to increased demand and tensions in the Middle East. Chevron (CVX) saw a 5% increase in share price, while ExxonMobil (XOM) saw a 3% increase.

      >Financial Stocks:
      >The financial sector had a mixed week as well, with some companies posting gains and others experiencing losses. JPMorgan Chase (JPM) saw a 1.5% increase in share price as the company reported strong first-quarter earnings. However, Goldman Sachs (GS) saw a 2% decrease in share price due to concerns about the impact of new regulations on the company's profitability.

      >Healthcare Stocks:
      >The healthcare sector had a strong week, with several companies posting gains. Pfizer (PFE) saw a 3.5% increase in share price as the company announced positive results from a clinical trial for a new cancer drug. Merck (MRK) also saw a 2% increase in share price as the company received FDA approval for a new diabetes drug.

      >Overall, the stock market had a mixed week as investors continued to weigh a range of economic and political factors. However, energy and healthcare stocks performed well, while tech and financial stocks saw mixed results.

No, I have a professional degree and training in my field. I’m basically thinking that this is a great tool just in case I forget something. For instance, I might ask it to describe a certain doctrine to me as it applies in my jurisdiction. However, there are already search tools that can deliver an answer, but I have to look around a bit more. Maybe it’s just redundant. But I have enjoyed asking it unrelated history questions, like whether Henry VII spoke any Welsh. Instead of a search engine bringing me a bunch of articles to read, this thing can give me a concise paragraph about what I actually want to know and why.

    Likely. See also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naive_Bayes_spam_filtering

This exact same approach can be used for predicting "Stonk go up" or "Stonk go down". I'd imagine it's quite accurate on a suitably big data set. Certainly accurate enough for a hedge fund that only needs to be right most of the time.

Also, this is not new or unique to ChatGPT. It has been around for not one but two decades.

I had it write me a program in python that does exactly that.
That $20 version is fricking cool

1988 was the first algorithmic software. Aladdin. It’s been going on for 3 and a half decades now.

Before that there was primitive HFT software to skim the top, people made billions of that. Just stealing people’s money because you have no respect for them.

I had it write me two programs, one that would pick the best option for a stock ticker
And the other is a program that predicts if a stock will increase by a minimum of 10% in the next 3 months
    Pretty cool
You can adjust it and all etc
Might i add, I have no idea how to code

Based anon. Is there any chance you could share some more info about the prompts you gave it to do that? Or was it as simple as that?

won't that lead to the corruption of model? It will be feeding AI data into the model, when it goes mainstream. It has a name. Forgot it though. Cross something

    nah
lol ive met and worked with some people who have appeared on cnbc etc.
it’s all just basic research. sure they hire some 20-something who can scrape the web too and use monitoring tools, but that’s nothing special and nothing AI can do really that differently.
chatgpt here just simplifies it and can probably help cut down on the basic researcher hiring.

Old news like others have said.
What AI will do is be able to take the drudgery out of backtesting and give you better confirmation signals and risk management. As it is given more data around events it'll probably start seeing information where we see chaos and that'll be value capture.

    >Which means the elite have been using AI to hack the economy for a decade.
The elites have been using insider trading to hack the economy since the dawn of civilisation moron.
Chatgpt does have potential processing shit loads of financial reports because most people are too moronic and lazy to do it themselves and analysts are essentially useless. Basically you could make a chatgpt Warren Buffet by just feeding it annual statements and economic reports.

Yes, it's called an algorithm and the big boys have been using it since the 70's. Read books and you can trade on news too lol

      >read books then you can compete with bots that made thousands of trades in a faction of a second
