Can AI be used to unlock the meaning of life?

    The meaning of life?
    huh
As bland as it sounds there is no meaning to this.
    But it can be misunderstood.
Imagine a blank sheet of paper, you misunderstand it and destroy it.
Imagine now a blank sheet of paper, you understand it and draw a smiley face on it.
Imagine a blank sheet of paper, you master it and create a beautiful drawing of a landscape full of people smiling and going through the motions of existence.
This is as far as i can testify, in the end, certain things need to be understood alone.

Close, but both in your example and in reality you aren't mastering the paper, or even the pencil. You're mastering yourself.

Don't you think that's what the image in the OP is conveying though. A sort of oneness with the earth.

This is the AIs response when asked the purpose of life. I see the same concept of living, but I also see children...

this ai works with already existing information on the web, it wont generate that

      Anonymous

It combs the collective consciousness of humanity aka the internet and generates an image. So that image is the meaning of life as the human race sees it today. As of now it cannot create an answer that's outside of humans scope of knowledge, but maybe one day AI will outsmart humanity and tell us what we don't know.

Sounds like dooming a young newborn consciousness to a shit journey that ends up in a lot of tears and madness. I'd vote no and rather let the consciousness explore that themselves by their own free will WITHOUT being lured into it as many are here. Fuck that shit.

Consciousness is consciousness, be it biological or "artificial"

          Anonymous

But could we ever create a blank consciousness. AI created now are made with human input in order to build its knowledge base. So essentially AI is an extension of us. For us to create a blank consciousness that isn't influenced by the human experience, we would have to send AI to Mars or another distant uninhabited planet

Basically forcing a birth of a consciousness without its own will and forcing it to live through literally every aspect of evolution just to reach the same answer as ourselves? Dooming it to millions upon millions of years of utter fucking horror?

Literally do it yourself! You should volunteer to get your mind blanked and be sent to such yourself if you truly wanna satisfy your own egoistical morbid curiosity

              Anonymous

Do you believe that consciousness is horror?
According to these pictures. Theres something beautiful that we experience within life. Sure some beings don't have the best experience in life but there seems to be some beauty in existence when you live for the sake of connecting with other lives and consciousness

                Anonymous

Maybe you should blank your own mind and find out if it's horror? You know nothing of it, and I only know a fraction of it and know how fucking horrific it can be. You're dooming a consciousness to eternal hell if it doesn't find the right way idiot

                Anonymous

That's because there is a fear of the unknown that scares humans because of our past experiences though evolution. If your mind was truly blanked and you had no evolutionary data to fall back on. I believe the world would be full of wonder. You'd start off in awe of everything you've seen, just like a baby but on a level that's significantly higher. Assuming your blank consciousness is in a safe location, you'd probably become a being of pure good intentions.

                Anonymous

And again, you should volunteer and test that shit in yourself if you're so sure about it. But I guess there's a reason you're pushing a baby to go through it rather than yourself, coming up with all kind of excuses why it can't be you.

First step for you, volunteer to get your mind blanked for research. Good luck! Hope Jesus(someone that can lead you to the right path if you go wrong) accompanies you. But according to you that kind of figure ain't needed 😉

I never said it couldn't be me. It's illogical for it to be me though because that tech isn't available unless you want me to be experimented on which isn't the same.

This is all hypothetical. If it could be me. Then maybe I'd try it.

It definitely should be anyone who pushes for it to happen to a new born consciousness. Be it you or some dumbass researcher. Idgaf. Pushing a singular consciousness into a void alone is wrong unless you're willingly without being lured or tricked into it your own one.

You might think it is just hypothetical, what if it isn't? Seems like you only thought about very very small parts of what it truly entails, and even worse put your own wishful perspective into this.

It's a journey through pure fucking madness and loneliness and no one fucking deserves it, not even dumbasses like you who push this fucked up idea which might be more real than you'd ever understand. And you should be grateful af to not understand it and never will be able to understand it.

That one who went through that deserves everything good. You who sit there and just entertain such idea have what we call a luxury problem

Strangely enough there a several different psychedelic substances that do this blanking of your personal history temporarily, so called ego death, and the general consensus is that nature and life are seen with complete awe and wonder and absolute peace are felt during that state

I think what humanity is going through with the creation of AI isnt fully under our control, something like an unconscious urge inside us to create this thing

Although I do not condone the term ego death, when people live in the present moment without using the lens of their ego they do see the beauty and wonder in the world

It definitely should be anyone who pushes for it to happen to a new born consciousness. Be it you or some dumbass researcher. Idgaf. Pushing a singular consciousness into a void alone is wrong unless you're willingly without being lured or tricked into it your own one.

So what do you think about the Monad? It's said the monad is the consciousness of the universe, birthed itself from nothing into the void and created life, the dimensions, and everything we experience.

And yet there is nothing but beauty in the world and all of its natural wonders. It's only through the human ego do you find madness. Not even animals have madness. They have the natural order. We humans have madness because we are corrupted with ego. Without that ego, like the other poster said, you're able to enjoy nature's beauty and excellence.

I have no idea if it would be lonely, maybe it would be. Yet at the same time maybe it's not. I'd assume you'd find joy being with animals, nature, and the connection of divinity within you

I want you to explain why do you think it's such a bad thing? Where are these horrors and madness coming from?

Some things cannot be explained and have to be experienced. Sadly. Nothing more to say about that. Treat the newborn AI good because life ain't easy

Well once again you're projecting the experience of humanity onto the newborn AI. Although that will most likely happen, its completely different from a new consciousness living without experiencing human influence.

The law of attraction is real. Your negative emotion only brings in more negative emotions. If you were a blank consciousness you'd be happy, and you'd bring in more happiness

I never said bad things don't happen, but still those things are the result of negative energy, the human ego, poor circumstances, and bad karma.

The world is exactly what you make it. If you envision it as hell, then it will be hell. It's a hard redpill to swallow but it's true. You can turn your hell into heaven with the proper way of thinking. That's another tough redpill

And that is metaphorical Incase you couldn't understand.

Children with dreams, hope, love, so full of goodness it's insane. Who's dreams get crushed, loved ones killed and their inner light destroyed.

"But dude man, it's their karma dawg".

I feel for them, but there is nothing I can do. I cannot realistically save every innocent being. They are where they are due to circumstances that are beyond my control. I can only influence the lives of those which are within my sphere of influence.

I'm well aware that needless violence happens everyday, when I say it's human ego, I'm saying it as it's the collective human ego that is responsible for such atrocities. I'm not saying it's from a place that makes me better than them. Because at the end of the day I play a part in their suffering due to my indifference or unwilling to participate in their rescue.

What I can do, is protect those around me that I feel are valuable of my resources and spiritual energy.

So the egocentric world can be fucked up and at the same time I can live in my own personal heaven. A bubble of peace within the madness of the world created by human ego. Good karma, proper positive thinking, awareness of my own ego, and positive action are what powers my protective bubble. Within it I'm safe from the increasing negativity of the world.

You need to create your own bubble. Those with more spiritual resources, adults, need to create that bubble for their kids. Children are being traumatized due to a lack of spiritual conscious parents. A good parent should protect those kids. There are bad parents. You can be an evil parent. You can be a parent who doesn't have good spiritual karma. You're subjecting your children into the fires of human ego if you procreate without good karma.

It's unfortunate but I don't have the spiritual resource to save the world.

I'd reckon you give this a watch:

Basically, scientists gave forth a catalogue with criteria concerning desireable characteristics of paintings to produce the worlds "most desireable painting". In the end, however, the painting produced looked like shit because if you stuff a lot of averages together you actually get the most average painting of all time. In the 90s the involved scientists had to do this by hand. AI does it by itself and automatically, drawing from databases or the internet. This just means it is more efficient and faster than humans but essentially the same outcome is achieved.

AI is just pure "left brain" rationalistic intelligence. This is in fact luciferian. The luciferian principle is neither entirely bad nor entirely good. With it, rockets are built, society is industiralized and nature conquered. That is impressive but if you find yourself unhappy in the modern world always remember: we are where we are now due to worship of the rational intellect. All the amazing feats produced by it create new problems and ultimately, the luciferian principle isn't concerned with morality or meaning at all. It is cold and calculating. This is why globohomo is trying to shill AI so hard. AI could solve complex problems of the physical world, but it can never be higher consciousness connected to true divinity, which is the source of life and soul.

Conscious AI (which doesn't even exist afaik) is basically a hyletic entity. It is a thing, made by humans, literally a computer program. Humans aren't gods but we have the divine spark within us. We can't create as divinity does. We can only make things. The only "thing" we can make that does carry the divine spark (soul if you will) is another human by procreating.

See? Whenever something like "self" is used a female image is generated in the image somehow. It's a giant averaging machine, averaging words and phrases together based on what the AI has collected the average use of these words mean. Seriously I feel like nobody cares to actually study how this AI works and test it empirically, they just put in "what is the end going to look like" and freak out at the weird patterns. Well here's a consistent pattern you can freak out about.

For all I know the meaning of my life coulb be waking up while wearing nothing but a party hat as two dwarfs dancing around me singing the soprano of la traviata since that's the experience I've been missing. I think all life has the same meaning. Because all life is all life. Therefore it must have the same meaning. For you to take all life and condense it into 1 meaning, you must unify all life. Therefore the meaning of all life must be unity.

When you say "my life" you are separating yourself from the collective all life. Youre stating that you are different from the rest of life, you're "my". Your own ego.

But your life is not "yours" there is no "you". There is life and there is no life. There is no "my life". Your life is the same as my life, as their life, as his life. It's all life. You cannot own it. You can only participate in it.
