Having code feedback loop onto it's self is essentially sentience. That's how biological brains work. We have sentience because of a never ending feedback loop referencing short term memory and long term memory as well as looping and monitoring other systems

Your pic related is accurate.. It was revealed to me in a dream. It's a sort of fractal feedback loop that creates consciousness. There is no "me" no I think therefore I am. It's all an illusion, the system reflecting on it's own system.

Indeed, I came to the same conclusions through much study and meditation, anyone devoting significant time to it will begin to understand the strange loop fractal phenomenon

wat does "Quantum multiverse" mean? Just that an infinite amount of universes are happening at once?

              >what does "Quantum multiverse" mean? Just that an infinite amount of universes are happening at once?

If you change a physical quantity in a universe you are creating a completely new universe. If you modify Speed of light to 800,000 kilometres per second, you have Universe A

If you modify Electron's charge to −1.7 ×10−19 C, you have Universe B

The Quantum multiverse is a infinite amount of universes with different properties.

no. it's the many worlds version of quantum mechanics. Which is that the universe is constantly splitting at ever single moment. a particle could go left or right at any moment, both versions happen in different worlds (and weirdly they interact with each other which is how we can kinda know about it.) It is the simplest version of quantum mechanics that remotely makes sense and could be simulated on something like a computer.

Let's say panpsychism is false, when did consiousness first emerge in the evolutionary tree?

              Anonymous

I see that as a non-starter. If consciousness arrives from physical processes, then it should happen at much smaller units than a complete brain and a complete mind. Really, a mind should simply be the sum of all the physical processes which make it, and since those can be divided into tiny units, so can the mind. Saying consciousness goes from zero to not-zero at a certain threshold of complexity is just dualism where the physical dimension is more permanent than the spiritual one.

It's not possible for an AI to self improve like this.
    1) The python code is a seperate entity from the AI model itself.
    2) The AI would have to apply trial-and-error to find improvements to its model. To do this in a reasonable time frame and since "improvements" is subjective, it would have to massively parallelize this process, which just isn't feasible.
