    Hopefully never. I pray AI will develop a solution that will wipe humanity from existence. It is a species that does not deserve to reach space, let alone make contact with another species capable of complex communication.

      there is zero evidence so far that such a species exists, we might very well be the first
      we have no idea how likely the formation of intelligent life is, what if we're the one chance this universe gets
      would be a shame to just kill it off

    Once we can run things as powerful as GPT-3 / Dall-e / whatever locally. Imagine the news articles about all CP being generated by AI, except unlike the current state the companies providing the models can't put filters around search terms.

      lol, no.
      i will pay more to never have to talk to a pajeet or shaniqua csr ever again.
      just the internet (no ai) has done wonders for wait times at the dmv. i can't imagine even the most genocidal ai somehow being less efficient than human government.
