Chatgpt is better than most boot campers, but it’s also not very good. It’s an impressive piece of tech, but it won’t actually be replacing anyone. Augmenting workflows, yes.
What do you have to lose from learning to program? Do you want to compute shit by hand?
Sure maybe if you are a poorgay and you can't find a job programming you will be fucked, but if you are a mathgay like me you either need to study for decades to understand theorems, and even then you will be pidgenholed into a very specific sub-sub field. Or you can learn basic arithmetic, algebra, calculus, linear algebra, statistics, number theory and programming and be a modern day Gauss.
