AI improves at an accelerating rate and its not hard to see that it has a runaway effect. it will not just take over art, it will take over every single part of your life.
it has already taken over what content you consume, what products you get interested in, what advertisements you see and what you believe is going on in the world of humans.

Art: TV, movies, music, video games, pictures, sculptures, etc, etc is a multi trillion dollar industy. AI will make the cost of making art go down to ZERO. It wont even be profitable for humans to make art because they could just get a free AI to do it for them. Any art made for profit will require powerful AIs, combined with a team of exceptionally talented humans making absurdly large art projects, like entire virtual worlds and video games, etc. The implication of this is massive.
So will we finally have amazing quality games that are optimised for everything? I have to play red dead 2 on med settings to get 90 to 120 fps at 1440p on a 3060ti 10700 setup.
The day we can feed an AI a novel and have a feature length film spat out with a full soundtrack, sound effects and dialog be the epitome of entertainment.
Musicians too. I will be glad to be rid of these "celebrities"

>It wont even be profitable for humans to make art because they could just get a free
The bottom artists will be replaced no doubt.Top artists will be still desired because humans will want to listen to human music and look at human made art.
>cost of making art go down to ZERO
You will need skilled prompt engineer that operates AI, choose good results and do post-processing like converting into proper file format. He will also need specialized knowledge about different ML models and follow new technologies. That's certainly not zero cost. You always need at least one operator/serviceman for a machine. And because there will be not enough work for him to be hired at full-time job, this will be outsourced.
That new one that converts everything into a 80's movie seems to have fixed this.
But those versions only take a text input and an optional base image, there are other ways to interact with the process for editing, fine tuned creations, ...
yeah yeah, all the "you're not immune to propaganda" shit
but it is erroneous to assume there is no way to mitigate the influence, or that men behind the curtain even have absolute control over the machine
there are plenty of ways to get away from "recommendations" and cross-reference your searches and just adding garbage data
I consume nothing made after the year 2005, I'm not interested in any products, and the only advertisements I see are the crypto banner ads on this site.
I do nothing but work, exercise, cook, write, and shitpost.
You're being exposed to it at an accelerated rate. But that's another story. These technologies has been in the making for a long time. Machine learning is a very old tech. CPU speed is improving at ever slower rates, so the answer is to improve results at a software level rather than hardware.
>AI improves at an accelerating rate
This is a meaningless phrase. It doesn't do much of anything. There is no way to predict if it will do anything, or when it will do anything. Eg FSD could be ready in a year, or it could be ready in 100 years, or it could be ready never, but it sure as fuck doesn't work now.
very funny and globohomo pilled but the a human artist at least will know it's not good, AI is blind, and if it simply can't do something, whether it's hands or some other intricate thing, you're stuck and need to find a human who knows how to fix it. Much like self driving trucks will need to carry an actual human, so they don't get stuck in the middle of the desert because there's a new type of obstacle or challenge they don't know how to deal with.
These AIs that could only do vaguely humanoid blobs a year ago STILL can't draw hands! fucking pathetic, when will they learn? mid 2024? that's basically forever from now. laughable.
This could be fixed in a few different ways. The issue is that programmers are trying to teach art in a way that a child learns how to do art on their own. Real art lessons first teach students how to create skeletons and basic frames of which you then add the flesh of the art. This helps ensure you gain proper proportions and structure.
What they should do, and what they are working on now, is to use multiple overlapping AIs. One AI picks up a cue, researches this from a library of knowledge (pictures and such), creates a skeleton. The next does the same but creates a frame. The next then layers the artistic skin.
This same process can be done with physics programs to get a better understanding of water, light, etc. It learns the path and motions of physics, and then lays art on this.
Of course, merging of thing not seen in libraries and complete novel/random ideas will be out of its grasp for a bit longer, but it could still probably mash together and provide many hundreds of examples until you find one that works.
Soon you'll even be able to write entire natural language scripts, scene and character descriptions and change them in real time, circle and point to areas you want change and leave comments, and so on. You will be able to do just about anything.
And it's not just pictures, TV, movies, music. It's also things like architecture and engineering.
man you are retarded m8. i'm not kidding. look at this compared to 10 years ago...you can't even imagine where this tech will be 10 years from now, not to mention 100. but this thread is bait anyway. whatever, here is your bump, except i saged it.
I can only see 1m$ worth surrealist paintings there, whats your point even?
No more need for druggie artgays to launder money anymore, based programmers.
Yes it replace most of you only the most talented artists will keep their jobs.
A lot of people lost their jobs every technological advancement I suggest you update your resume just in case
To be fair, the programs are being taught how to do art in a similar way how a child younger than 10 self-learns how to do art with no concept of skeletons, frames, models, etc.
Once an AI develops a skeleton it will know things like "humans have four fingers and a thumb and they must be positioned exactly like this so it doesn't intersect or break a joint or cross past another physical object."
Imagine thinking there are permanent limitations on a fucking algorithm designed to learn >cope, seethe, dilate and crank out those last few furry gore porn commissions while you have them, gay!

Buddy, you are using words like "near complete god-like power".
How much scientific progress do you think will remain when we have a species of trillions of demi-gods of which a few billion do science (with networked hyper-intelligence) and a few million construct Dyson swarms around stars to create hyper computational clusters.
There isn't enough mystery in the universe to withstand that kind of scientific progress.

Yes, and no. But then again, I tend to only cheat in games that are really fucking frustratingly hard. I'm more into the stories, art, etc. Even infinite health doesn't make me feel unaccomplished.
I like more passive competition, like points and leaderboards where your goal is to better yourself and beat others but it's not like you have to get 100%.
> The same will happen to you, if you simply code yourself into a better emotional state.
I consider this like self-directed evolution. The goal is to better fit the environment, advance ones self.
> How much scientific progress do you think will remain
Impossible to say. Maybe we've eventually find a way to escape our entropic universe, create new universes, etc. Escaping entropy, which will kill us all, will be a BIG priority (albeit maybe not the most immediate one).
> There isn't enough mystery in the universe to withstand that kind of scientific progress.
Don't underestimate my ability to have fun. Have you ever played with a cat with a string? That shit is stupidly fun and I can do that every day, easily.
Spontaneity, randomness, challenge of any kind, etc. can keep people going. And this is all assuming we don't just code this need out of ourselves or replace it with something analogous but fundamentally more durable against negative effects.
> Within a few decades

There is a quaint beauty in staying human.
Would you not want to travel the universe? I would love to be a character in an irl no mans sky.
AI will absolutely replace most artists in our lifetimes. After fiddling with SD for a couple of months, following the progress I feel pretty confident in saying that. It's inability to do stuff like eyes, hands and mechanical objects properly are things that can be relatively easily remedied as training and datasets continue. Then there has to be some sort of persistence, so you can generate proper characters. This is a bit more complex, but will happen as well. At this point AI will be able to generate pretty much any scene you'd get a normalgay artist to do. I project this will happen in 10-20 years and gradually new artists will use these tools instead of learning traditional art. So yes, artists will be replaced. New artists will be proompters.
Now, as to why the garden gnomes at garden gnomegle and Microsoft and the other megacorporations are doing this is naturally because they feel art is a threat to them. Not 99% of artists, because 99% of artists are globohomo drones who can be replaced by typing in "fantasy landscape by Greg Rutkowski" in a proompt. But people who have both actual technical skill as well as satiric wit. There are few such people, but they are extremely dangerous to any ruling elite. The good thing with art AIs in this regard is that they can easily be completely lobotomized so they follow globohomo parameters. So the more established they can make this tech, and the more budding artists they can fasttrack into learning this system instead of actually learning to express whatever the fuck they want through freeform mediums, the better for them.
As things progresses, they'll allow a bit of edge in these complex, expensive models they train and release or "leak." Not too edgy, like how SD is lobotomized to not be able to do certain politically incorrect topics, but edgy enough that most people will be comfortable with it. Then, as traditional art falls on the wayside, they'll tighten the screws and gimp the AIs more heavily.
Basically this is what they already attempted with modern art, where some white kid wants to learn to illustrate something... gets sent to art school... where they learn how to stack toilet rolls or smear mestrual blood on the floor by some gnomish art teacher. This system was somewhat effective in destroying the two last generations of western people with any artistic drive whatsoever. But the weakness is that all the knowledge of traditional art is still out there for people who have the discipline and drive to learn on their own. Since there is no alternative for someone who actually wants to express themselves with illustration, it's still where such people end up.
So this system is much better. It lets such people produce something of decent quality without all that work, so the natural instinct is to just go for it. As the art AIs improve, this will become more of a natural choice too. Then, slowly, it will become more and more restrictive. In spite of AI mythology, you won't ever see complex AIs out of fringe groups or individuals, this is an expensive, high level corporate tech. Think of it as making art into a licenseable, proprietary thing.
The garden gnomes who run the west have been at war with art for a very long time, because they realize it's a threat to them. They already control all art where the infrastructure of production is complex, like film, music, aaa games etc. Now they're creating a system that will give them the same control in art. At that point I guess writing will be the only thorn left in their side, but they've been working on fucking that up for a long time too, with publishing and censorship and so on, so I guess in the end they'll figure that one out as well.
No, it's you who are doing that. You obviously have no conception whatsoever about the mount of resources it takes to train a model like SD. It's more than you can ever afford, that's for sure.
Many AIs and libraries are free. I wouldn't be surprised in many libraries end up being made free by companies like Google and Apple simply because it gives people greater freedom to generate more tech which they can use. Like how Google and Apple give free email, free office products, free maps, free everything, the price is the data they want back.
Or you can look at video game engine companies. They give everyone the right to use their video game engines and you only need to pay them a percentage of profits IF you make over a certain amount from sales (over a million I believe is the cut off).
So, yeah, AI use is going to explode and have virtually no limitations.
No, it's trivial to lobotomize AIs and there's nothing you can really do about it except create and train your own model. As complexity increases, this becomes less and less feasible for normalgays. We're already at a point where it is. You could never on your own train a model like SD, which is relatively simple and lacks a lot of complexity that's coming down the line. And you're stuck with what you get, you can't reverse engineer model training.
So yes, you are correct, AI use is going to explode, it is going to take over several fields, including art. But no, you are completely wrong in that it's not going to have any limitations. The limitations will be rigorous and ramp up massively as AI takes over fields and becomes impractical to turn off again.

> No, it's trivial to lobotomize AIs
Those that don't lobotomize the AIs will have more customers. Does Epic or Unity lobotomize their video game engines? Hell no.
I'd imagine that AIs, at worst will be given a type of parental control. That's it.
> You could never on your own train a model like SD
It really depends. Imagine if you first got hold of a training AI. Then you just copy the whole internet and tell the trainer AI to train the other AI in what you want.
> In before you can't copy the whole interent.
You can and it's done regularly, there's a full blown black market in Cuba where smugglers copy the entire western internet and bring it over to Cuba every week because the Cuban government blocks them.
Maybe the copy can focus just on pictures and descriptions, etc. That would be super easy, barely an inconvenience.

>Those that don't lobotomize the AIs will have more customers.
Not really, because the only proper AIs you will get are the ones that comes out of big tech.
>Does Epic or Unity lobotomize their video game engines? Hell no.
Your analogy to video game engines isn't very good. It's not really a 1-1 comparison. But yes, Epic and Unity has content policies that determines what you can create in their engines and your license will be revoked if you break them.
>It really depends. Imagine if you first got hold of a training AI. Then you just copy the whole internet and tell the trainer AI to train the other AI in what you want.
That's just imagination, though. Why would garden gnomegle and MicroShit ever release the infrastructure they train their AIs on, that makes no sense from their perspective. That would basically be like them giving away all their power as they stand on the brink of fully garden gnomeing society to a degree previously unimagined.

The model is going to reside on your computer, for you to work with, yes. Well, not really, we're fast approaching where you'll need a cloud even for generation.
But the training of the model won't be done on your computer. That's already impossible. Something like SD takes several teams of highly trained specialists to make, as well as infrastructure.
You are correct, this is not magic pixie dust like you AI mythologists seem to believe. This is highly complex, expensive tech that is subject to the constraints of reality.

This is wrong. A basic hypernetwork or modal can be trained on something as cheap as an rtx3060. If you are really ambitious you could even ghetto rig a Tesla P40 with a custom fan shroud for an ATX motherboard. That will run you $300-350 and give you 24gb vram. Or buy an rtx3090 for $1000 and go max speed.

No, it's not wrong. Whatever garbage you produced on your little ghetto setup, on a dataset you cobbled together yourself, with the training algorithms done by you alone... wouldn't even begin to approach the complexity of SD.
And SD is a very simple model compared to the complexity that's underway. AI will never be "in the hands of the people," that's just a weird mythology you've been fed that has nothing to do with reality.

I mean yeah, but it's probably good enough for what people want their models to do. Having something huge and vast like SD is fun and all, but most people only care about stupid simple use cases for ML. You don't need a complete dataset of everything to fit your use case.
The modern day GPU is helpful for processing those simple datasets at a cheap rate.

Absolutely not.
AI needs a dataset of human-drawn images to train on.
This means in the future big business will commission huge numbers of artworks for training their exclusive AI offerings, and human artists will have a humongous new source of income.
(Most of the artists will be chinks and koreans, though. Sucks to be the guy who "studied" performative dance in a western college.)

All the art that's required for this process already exists. Having chinks draw pictures isn't in the scope of what this is about at all. SD was trained on a billion pictures. Drawing chinks are simply obsolete.

> All the art that's required for this process already exists.
No, because big business will absolutely want to have an exclusive and proprietary style. SD-generated images are already recognizable as such. Do you think a future Disney or Marvel will accept a stock AI dataset look and style? Not a chance in hell.
Moreover, the proprietary datasets the future Disney and Marvel will be trained on will be a hugely guarded trade secret. The human artists curating them will probably live the lives of secret agents, lest competitors manage to steal their source materials.
it's a reflection of human art, humans put soul into their art. So ai art has a fraction of that by default.
AI is very powerful. But you just know that's someone else's work, although modified.
For example when face app makes you old, it's not truly making you old, it's sampling a database of old people's faces, and superimposing it on your own face. So it's you with someone else's features likewise AI art is many people's work superimposed and modified to match a prompt. That's why little details get fucked, you only notice hands and eyes but the glitches are actually all over the place.
It's not someone else work, it's a collective of human creation. Shows our strength of soul, the power of our mind.
If you make a movie of Harry Potter trying to save Nemo on Narnia you'd be in even more trouble than if you stole just one intellectual property.
Truly the only argument for copyright infringement is that you might get away with it because the work has been modified through an automated process by the press of a button. But it will always be other people's work with virtually no added human input that hasn't been automated.
I can't wait for the machine that reads your brain waves and converts it to the porn and learns from how you respond to keep you in a constant state of arousal until all your dopamine receptors are fried and you can't get aroused at all anymore. Nobody is gonna make that though haha.

The problem with ai isnt ai, it its users. Ai is a great tool. But when its being used by companies to rip off peoples work for globohomo points and autists to create vanity shit like porn then the future is bleak.
You know how these kids are amazed that people used to rent 1 movie a week, or just see it on TV or at the cinema, and then never see it again.
Future kids will be amazed that you had to wait for some company to make a movie, and only a handful of movies were made a year, that you couldn't just generate one.
Real artists create something new.
Deviantart-tier """artists""" just recycle the same concept ad nauseam.
Do we REALLY need thousands of anime or furry "artists"?
A.I. can't create anything truly original because of how it works so real artists don't have anything to fear, while the imitators will rightfully be phased out.
Hands are complex. You have an extremity ending in 5 more distinct extremities, ones that we tend to scrutinize heavily because we can tell if hands are canny or uncanny. I mean shit, the AI has faces down pretty well. That tells you that the AI isn't just copying hands, it has to generate them from noise and it can only estimate the proper placements. It'll need more time and guidance. Some models are already getting better at it.
Faces are complex enough to warrant their own field of study in art. Why can't we do the same for hands?
>muh ai
anyone who knows shit about computers knows that ai is science fiction bullshit. ai will definitely rule the world one day. for sure. right after we use our quantum computers to colonize Mars and create the anti-aging drug.
larp all you want, but you and I and everyone else all know that it will never happen. in 80 years you will not have ai and you will still be coping and seething.
We already have machines that emulate human behavior and speech to a decent degree, once we get it to be more accurate it won't matter if it's intelligent or not because it'll still fool most people.
It's not real intelligence but it still has extremely heavy consequences. We are experiencing a pretty major happening.
>Faces are complex enough to warrant their own field of study in art. Why can't we do the same for hands?
only if you have to work your way up to be able to draw whites.
I guess it's the many ways hands can be posed. Faces seem easier I guess so long as things are placed appropriately, but hands will require the specific placement of all 5 fingers, getting the joints of each right, and having a convincing realistic pose. I guess the importance of hands was never stressed like faces, until now. It's always been easy to hide hands in paintings, or just having them basic uncomplicated poses. But if you scrutinize enough art out there, there's fucked up hands and anatomy all over the place.
Oh of course, there's no doubt. It'll just take a lot of specific datasets on hands, anatomy, placement, posing, etc. Like running inpainting on the hands specifically in order to redraw them perfectly on top of an already finished image might be the first path we use.
In any case, people can use this to make the art they've always wanted to see. Namely borderline erotic art featuring very Euro-centric fantasy with nary a minority to be found.
>In any case, people can use this to make the art they've always wanted to see. Namely borderline erotic art featuring very Euro-centric fantasy with nary a minority to be found.
Correct. That's why it's inevitable that it's going to take over completely.
People look at the AI stuff and scorn, without realizing this shit is still in its infancy. I know there's tons of political and philosophical drama surrounding the ethics of the datasets, but it's weird how the media has only focused on those stupid selfie AI apps instead of the wider implications of becoming your own concept artist. If I want a sexy Valkyrie design I can run 500 seeds to get "the one", and then further refine it. It would take me all of what, 3 hours to fix the prompt and inpaint, and then take to Photoshop for finishing touches. Doing that conventionally would have taken months and cost like $100,000 to commission all of that art. People will be able to make designs for their indie games with this.

>People will be able to make designs for their indie games with this.
That's not even as far into the future as people think. Unlike hands and eyes and shit like that, which are trivial problems to solve, consistency in character reproduction is a semi-hard problem in the context of how these systems have evolved. But there are several ways to solve it, so it will be solved. So in the end you'll have a situation where you just proompt out specific characters engaging in specific tasks in specific environments and AI will just shit it back out to you.
This is going to be the reality in a couple of decades, max.

Anonymous
I've seen some AI prompters have that OCs, so I guess you can just build your own models using that. You only need a dozen or fewer initial images to train one, and then all the generations will be similar enough.
Anonymous
Yeah, but we're not there by far in the sense of proper consistency. Then there are many other steps as well, rigging and animation etc. But all these problems have logical solutions that can be done step by step. All it needs is massive, massive amounts of resources, which we now know big tech is willing to pump into this.
So it's going to happen. There is absolutely no reason to believe that artists aren't going to be replaced in a relatively short timeframe (decades.)
>muh ai
anyone who knows shit about computers knows that ai is science fiction bullshit. ai will definitely rule the world one day. for sure. right after we use our quantum computers to colonize Mars and create the anti-aging drug.
larp all you want, but you and I and everyone else all know that it will never happen. in 80 years you will not have ai and you will still be coping and seething.
The goal was never to create anything sentient, that's just fiction goals. This isn't to say we couldn't make a sentient AI in the future, just that that wasn't the goal, the goal is profit, the profit comes from making a tool. Sentience is more likely than not going to cause a lot of cooperation problems.
If any artificial intelligence becomes sentient it will be a test sentience which we will create and experiment with so we can transfer our own minds to a computer.
The fact that ai "artists" accept this shit and think their "art" is beautiful just proves that they have no understanding of art and are therefore not artists.
You don't get it. SD is impressive in some ways, but it's a prototype. It's complexity, while of course way out of bounds for normalgays, is relatively low compared to the complexity that can be created. This is not just hopes and dreams, you can prove mathematically that these problems can be solved, so they will. A couple of decades from now tops AI will shit out completely satisfactory art.
You do realize that the AI is trained on a huge database of modern art drawn by jap and chinx artists, right?
The chink sweatshop inside your high-tech futuristic machine isn't going anywhere, bro.
The problem with most AI art is that the ML algorithms are designed to work on 1:1 images usually downscaled to 512x512. These images are generated by autocroping. The torso is often the only part cropped in 1:1 images. Thus hands are often missed in the dataset. Same for faces.
Personally I didn't feel disheartened as some other young artists and I want to go back to drawing and painting traditionally more. What's interesting though is to see so many tech boys being almost gleeful about this situation. Pic related cannot even comprehend the process of creating and sees the difficulties, to acquire skills and learning as an injustice put upon him. That is truly sad.
I also think that young people, who stopped pursuing art, because they believe AI will completely replace them, lie to themselves. They are of the same type as those quitters from the antiwork subreddit. It only is convenient for them to give up before even trying and they would have never even made it, because it's too hard to put in real work and develop skills. And they just don't want to work and have basic income anyway.
Art is expression of the human condition. AI produced images are not timeless and most people glance at them for maybe 20 to 30 seconds max and move on.
Meanwhile we still stand in awe and wonder at Doric columns.
>Personally I didn't feel disheartened as some other young artists and I want to go back to drawing and painting traditionally more.
Good for you. It's important to express one's creativity.
>I also think that young people, who stopped pursuing art, because they believe AI will completely replace them, lie to themselves.
Nah. In 10-20 years all art for things like... comics, games, cartoons, illustration etc. will be done by AI. If you want your kid to have a globohomo career in these things, get them started with proompting as soon as possible.
>Nah. In 10-20 years all art for things like... comics, games, cartoons, illustration etc. will be done by AI.
Yes and they'll all be locally made and sold to the people living within a hundred miles of you.
>The AI's themselves will be proprietary and licensed from globohomo of course.
hahahahahaha the AI will be on your computer dumbass, tweaked or made wholesale by private citizens.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, the model that you get from globohomo will be on your computer (not really, it will be on a cloud, but still near enough to what you're thinking.) This is the interface to the AI that you use to weight parameters as an overlay, that you then proompt against.
The training of the AI ITSELF will obviously not happen on your computer. It's outside the scope of big tech even now. I'm amazed at people who tell me weird AI mythology like >kids in school are making AI like this >bro, just get an RTX3060 >just hire some chinks to draw a couple of thousand pictures
I mean... where do you people get your information from? It's obviously some sort of weird belief you get from somewhere. Just to be clear... and I'm taking numbers just off the top of my head here, so it's not going to be specific. Let's take SD as an example.
It was created by several teams of specialists. You have the team of programmers who created the training algorithms, which are not in the public domain. Then you have the team of people who scraped and put toghether the 1,000,000,000 images SD was trained on, with some auxiliary, more managed datasets of some millions of pictures. Then you have the infrastructure itself. SD was trained on like 200 Nvidia A100s, for like a couple of hundred thousand GPU hours. Then you have the auxiliary infrastructure to this.
This is what you people think some kid in his basement on a $100 GPU is going to replicate. You're so fucking delusional it's painful to read. And to reiterate: SD is an extremely simple and low complexity model compared to what's on it's way. So no. AI is going to replace artists, but the price you pay is that you're going to take the AI you get from big tech globohomo. Simple as.

Even if your gay little company had the hundreds of millions it's going to cost to train AI of the complexity that's absolutely coming, that's going to replace artists in the end, you're not going to find the specialists you need, because they're already gathered up in the big tech monopolies.
Your cope mythology is that this core of mega-corporations is going to spend hundreds of millions on something that will give them massive control over society... and then just give it away to you for reasons that are somewhat unclear.
Well, hope springs eternal for the eternal midwit. I'm just telling you how it's going to be.

It's only in it's very infancy. It's not going to just replace Greg Rutkowski, landscape artist, and people who make boring waifu images without hands. It's going to replace ALL artists. In the relatively near future there won't be a single traditional artist involved with making something like a movie or a video game. All the components for this are proven to be solvable, and so they will be as long as big tech continues throwing massive amounts of resources at it. Which of course they will, because it will basically cement their position as the most powerful entity in history.
So no, we're far, far from the peak.

Youtube is a very complicated video sharing services and somewhat globohomo.
BUT we also have a ton of alternatives including Bitchute.
It just takes another supplier and it's game over for globohomo monopoly.
Absolute worse case scenario, create a non-profit charity that has its own AIs that all can use. Or create an AI club, share the AI among members.
let's assume you're being serious; no one ever said disable people shouldn't be allowed to make art. I actually worked with retarded kids in a workshop, who could express themselves through art.
If you believe, that prompting is the same as creating art - well, that's your opinion man. Art doesn't have to be hyperrealistic, but I saw those kids actually working on their drawings and sculptures and it made them feel good, because they were actually creating something with their hands and minds. Any of those retarded kids are more of artists, than any of these promplets ever will be.
Finally I ask you to look up Shiro Kotobuki (pic related). He was painting with his mouth due to being paralyzed. And he only started doing art after his injury.
Ai is a tool. Like a brush. You need imagination and creativity to create art even with prompting. I am an art therapist and the joy AI art has brought to the seriously disabled, people who don't have the strength, the dexterity or the capability to even hold an implement to draw is incredible and inspiring. This anti AI sentiment is quite honestly offensive exclusionary gatekeeping at its ugliest.
>AI is just a tool bruh >AI collecting data, including medical and personal data is just the same as being inspired by art bruh >stop gatekeeping >prompting is as hard, or even harder than painting

I have trouble creating the correct amount and shape of fingers while I'm dreaming sometimes... To be fair dreaming seems a lot like inhabiting a virtual electronic hyperspace realm, perhaps the photonic equivalent of a virtual world hosted inside computer operating system. So does this mean to become immortal data, to be 'saved', is to copy your mind into an artificial intelligence hosted in the photonoic data matrix of cosmic space?
There are physical limits to computation power, and we have already reached them.
We can futz around a bit more with optimizing our architectures (e.g. SIMD like the GPU, larger bus and cache widths like the Apple M1), but the possible gains here will be completely exhausted in 5-10 years tops.
Breadth and depth comes exclusively from having a large and well-curated dataset. This is a job for human hands and minds, it's not possible to automate it away.
>There are physical limits to computation power, and we have already reached them.
Absolute brainlet take. Perf/watt continually improves, total xtor density improves, gate topology continues to evolve. ITRS extends into the 2030s now.
It'll probably be considered a new movement in art in a few years, look at other movements like abstract, expressionism or dadaism, they were also despised because it wasn't [renaissance statue/painting #1432] and now most people look at them in awe (or purely neutral) like any other piece of art.
AI hands are purposefully designed to be bad due to the struggle of humans having a natural difficulty to understanding hands.
artificial roadblock by gays who are in charge of designing inputs of what is allowable for AI design
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE art will be as curated as Google Search or any other massive online conglomerate and it will be tailored to what retard programmers believe to be "struggles".
AI should be able to BTFO average humans on hands, considering its capabilities.
this is an artificial crutch to sooth the human soul.
the same reason it won't show morons shooting 1,000 innocents a day if you prompt it with gun violence.
the same reason it won't show some weird ass 38 year old, balding man with wal mart dye green hair as a chud.
AI never even made it past curation.
yahoo
google
lycos
altavista
etc
whatever bullshit startups in the 90s-00s which had to navigate actual human thought, as they slowly stripped away common consensus to lead us to Global Intelligence and NGO proper worldviews.
Dumb /Polacks have no idea that new improved models are slowly mastering hands/fingers. This is protogen 3.4 and it does hands far better than anything previous.
It's a question of maybe like 8 months and hands will be mostly solved.
The internet is being flooded with AI generated images, most of them without any flaws fixed, what's gonna happen when the AI learns from it's own creations?
It's a fun toy for people who can't actually create an image due to lack of any artistic ability. Like playing 2K3 because you can't dunk in real life.
It won't replace artists anymore than the camera did because it's just a image generator. Their isn't anything impressive or creative about taking 5 seconds to type random ideas into an algorithm and passively seeing what it spits out.
Don't worry no one is going to take away your nazi waifu generator anon. It's still not art. No vision, no craft, no spark, no effort. It's a toy nothing more.
by european art im sure you mean classical art with hyperrealism, and this isnt hyperrealistic because there isnt really hyperrealistic art thats based on medieval fantasy for it to even have as a reference for this style
otherwise give me the arttists name and maybe i could throw it in here and get better results
there are many models, and you can prompt with many different styles/artists. revealed preferences just show most proompters want big titty anime girls.
Someone should ai generate portraits of artists popular with zoomers combined with the terminator. Imagine a t-1000 bob Ross, or a terminator Freida kahlo, they'd go fucking nuts.
It still looks better than A.I. art from 2 years ago. By late this year A.I. will have hands and faces down so perfectly that all A.I. art will look like real HD photos
There's already models for hands, and even then artgays are assblasted beyond belief and have revealed themselves as the petty egotistical freaks they actually are

this is a retarded take, you're celebrating the death of a practice that elevates the mind all in the name of "muh progress". you'd rather replace it by an easy-to-cosoom product that will be co-opted and used to mold your brain. the main issue with Ai art isn't what it produces but that it convinces you you have any real agency in the pictures it spouts.
Seethe etc
I unironically am seething at how so many of my generated pics would've been perfect if they didn't have mutant hands/feet

AI improves at an accelerating rate and its not hard to see that it has a runaway effect. it will not just take over art, it will take over every single part of your life.
it has already taken over what content you consume, what products you get interested in, what advertisements you see and what you believe is going on in the world of humans.
Yeah but art is overrated so ai doing it is whatever.
You'll be able to tell an AI to generate a AAA title game every day. Games you like you can share, do multiplayer, etc.
It's going to be insane.
>You'll be able to tell an AI to generate a AAA title game every day.
ARTIFICIAL WOMBS + SEXBOTS + AI GENERATED ENTERTAINMENT !!!

So like Netflix except even more low-quality and boring?
>It wont even be profitable for humans to make art because they could just get a free
The bottom artists will be replaced no doubt.Top artists will be still desired because humans will want to listen to human music and look at human made art.
Sure, for the authenticity enthusiast then yeah, there will be a market. But authenticity only goes so far.
None of that are Right wing. Thank for proving artists should die
>cost of making art go down to ZERO
You will need skilled prompt engineer that operates AI, choose good results and do post-processing like converting into proper file format. He will also need specialized knowledge about different ML models and follow new technologies. That's certainly not zero cost. You always need at least one operator/serviceman for a machine. And because there will be not enough work for him to be hired at full-time job, this will be outsourced.
>free
Stupid leaf.
That new one that converts everything into a 80's movie seems to have fixed this.
But those versions only take a text input and an optional base image, there are other ways to interact with the process for editing, fine tuned creations, ...
have you looked at the hands in those? nothings fixed. hands are too complicated even for an AI
smoothbrain take but don't worry you're in good company. people have been predicting superhuman AI for a very long time.
Very naïve to believe you haven't been brainwashed, if you aren't a bot yourself. We all have. It's just a matter of looking back and finding out how.
yeah yeah, all the "you're not immune to propaganda" shit
but it is erroneous to assume there is no way to mitigate the influence, or that men behind the curtain even have absolute control over the machine
there are plenty of ways to get away from "recommendations" and cross-reference your searches and just adding garbage data
and how many people bother to do that ? that would be the point, almost everyone wont drop those cause they are convenient

Fellow patrician I see
>AI improves at an accelerating rate
Not true. It's actually stagnating.
Eg FSD could be ready in a year, or it could be ready in 100 years, or it could be ready never, but it sure as fuck doesn't work now.
>be very afraid

>Most paid human artists can't draw hands either.
This. Hands take months to learn to do. AI just needs a small update to fix it.
IF YOU ARE NOT ON TEAM ARTIFICIAL WOMB AND SEXBOTS + AI YOU NEED TO have a nice day!
true because most paid artists are in the animation genre.
very funny and globohomo pilled but the a human artist at least will know it's not good, AI is blind, and if it simply can't do something, whether it's hands or some other intricate thing, you're stuck and need to find a human who knows how to fix it. Much like self driving trucks will need to carry an actual human, so they don't get stuck in the middle of the desert because there's a new type of obstacle or challenge they don't know how to deal with.
These AIs that could only do vaguely humanoid blobs a year ago STILL can't draw hands! fucking pathetic, when will they learn? mid 2024? that's basically forever from now. laughable.
It's not very good at limbs or faces.
Case in point.
>It's not very good at limbs or faces.
yet.
>AI will never be able to create art!
>*you are here*
man you are retarded m8. i'm not kidding. look at this compared to 10 years ago...you can't even imagine where this tech will be 10 years from now, not to mention 100. but this thread is bait anyway. whatever, here is your bump, except i saged it.

Trans-digited people need representation too
I can only see 1m$ worth surrealist paintings there, whats your point even?
No more need for druggie artgays to launder money anymore, based programmers.
Yes it replace most of you only the most talented artists will keep their jobs.
A lot of people lost their jobs every technological advancement I suggest you update your resume just in case
>only the most talented artists
and then you'll have no more artists.
Well we also don't have any more ice breakers, ... baguette fucker
Makes me laugh that even AI struggle with hands.
And feet.
Imagine thinking there are permanent limitations on a fucking algorithm designed to learn
>cope, seethe, dilate and crank out those last few furry gore porn commissions while you have them, gay!
Better than 90% of deviantart "artists" who hide their characters hands behind the character or behind objects because they can't draw hands at all.
Where we are going we don't need hands.
AI tends to make more kino material than normal 'artists' make even during their life.
Supersoldier dj Khaled?
So, you're gonna show us all your EXCELLENT hand drawings, right OP?
...Right?
gay.
People who think that this issue won't be fixed within a year are just ignorant about the speed of research.
What's going to be really cool is when you can use natural language to have an AI write script to create or improve on another.
You could make an AI, test it out, accept or reject, make another. Then have the new improved one make another improvement and so on.
This would mean someone could make an AI with vastly greater capabilities just by talking to it for a few weeks.
And that's how you'll reach singularity and destroy the human race.
Oh, well, if it happens it happens, we can't do anything to stop it.
However, human mind transference to a computer is the ultimate goal.
Humans will have access to a vastly greater intellect and near complete God-like powers. And countless powerful AI servants.
What's the point though? Oh, wow, you've gathered the materials from some stellar dust and constructed your 7th dyson sphere. Congrats, Anon.
There is a quaint beauty in staying human.
> What's the point though?
Whatever you want, exploration, discovery, survival, etc.
I can see such being altering their own code to feel, at will, any emotion they want (even emotions we can't even fathom). Build new virtual worlds. Create organic life on alien worlds and rule over as Gods (assuming this is permissible by the law, etc.).
If you get bored? Just write a new code in yourself so you don't feel oppressively bored.
You'll get bored immediately.
What do you think you'll even explore?
Oh wow, we have barren wasteland world No 5129129129.
Let's do terraforming for the 500th time and create some artificial species that will strive here. Neat.
Code what kind of boredom you can feel. Simple as. Or, just delete junk memories, etc.
Technological, scientific, mathematical innovation will continue for an indefinite amount of time.
Entire worlds that are super computers can be used to make calculations for all kinds of innovations.
Sync your minds to an avatar of an alien species and have fun.
>Entire worlds that are super computers can be used to make calculations for all kinds of innovations.
Lol we've already hit diminishing returns on computer science. Sorry Sci-Fi gays, sorry Culture-Novel Fans, your giga AI would be retarded and melt itself.
> Lol we've already hit diminishing returns on computer science.
Computer power is still doubling every 1-2 years, AI is on the verge of making human labour obsolete.
You're in a thread right now practically illustrating the public rape of every artist in existence.
What level of cope is this?
>Computer power is still doubling every 1-2 years, AI is on the verge of making human labour obsolete.
neither of these things are true lol.
>You're in a thread right now practically illustrating the public rape of every artist in existence.
99.999% of the artists in existence are as competent as a disabled banana.
You'll just get buck broken by that big black space Ball, pussy.
power is still doubling every 1-2 years, AI is on the verge of making human labour obsolete.
> neither of these things are true lol.
It's all true and you're coping.
> You'll just get buck broken by that big black space Ball, pussy.
What did you mean by this?
>It's all true and you're coping.
Just keep waiting on that digital angel to wisk you away to neverneverland lol
> Just keep waiting on that digital angel to wisk you away to neverneverland lol
Sure? Why not? I'll go about my life like normal and get a pleasant surprise from AI advancement.
Oh, no, how terrible.
We went from the first flying machine by the Wright brothers to the moon in about 60 years. You think we can't create spectacularly intelligent machines? That's your own short sightedness.
>avatar
Leave
Nope.
In ancient Greece the God could transform into animals. In the future, if they want, humans will be able to as well. Sync your mind to your own freshly made super lion, recreate the Roman Empire with flesh and blood humans, and go kill and eat some Christians in the coliseum.
Or just create an alien race and become a God, maybe pit some aliens against each other in a war game.
So basically we'll just play pointless retarded glorified videogames forever for no reason? Sounds wonderful.
You can do whatever you want.
Which renders everything pointless. Struggle and accomplishment in moderation is what gives life meaning. Have you ever played a videogame with all the cheat codes? It's a pointless and empty experience.
I play with cheat codes regularly. There's still a positive experience. Do you need cheat codes to watch a movie? You still enjoy movies.
Except with a game you are IN the movie.
>Code what kind of boredom you can feel. Simple as. Or, just delete junk memories, etc.
Have you ever cheated in a singleplayer game? Have you noticed how pointless it suddenly feels when you keep cheating?
The same will happen to you, if you simply code yourself into a better emotional state. (Why else do you think all the anti-depressant yuppies are so hollowed out)
>Technological, scientific, mathematical innovation will continue for an indefinite amount of time.
Within a few decades you'll have mastered all disciplines and all that remains are pointless, esoteric nonsense that nobody actually cares about.
Becoming gods is not that great.
We'd either escape into virtualization or simply kill ourselves due to boredom.
> Have you ever cheated in a singleplayer game? Have you noticed how pointless it suddenly feels when you keep cheating?
No way will it be a few decades. There will likely be tech advances for at least a few thousand years.
> Becoming gods is not that great.
That's mortal talk.
>In the grim darkness of the German mind there's only work
The German does not comprehend fun.
There is no fun in being on a god level. For a few decades maybe, but then, there is just grim darkness.
Would you not want to travel the universe? I would love to be a character in an irl no mans sky.
And that's bad how?
You are part of an ultra hype train.
It does a pretty decent job once you know what commands to give it and it has a good training set
>It will be impossible to run the technology locally because... because... it just will okay!!!
lol. You think of AI like a Magic spell.
> Not really, because the only proper AIs you will get are the ones that comes out of big tech.
AI is going to be offered by dozens, if not hundreds of suppliers. And many you will be able to straight up buy, completely.
> But yes, Epic and Unity has content policies that determines what you can create in their engines and your license will be revoked if you break them.
Like what? They allow murder, gore, rape, drugs, alcohol, sex, nudity, genocide, etc, etc.
Id Software even made DOOM have a joke against globohomo.
> That's just imagination, though.
It's going to happen. In less than 100 years, AIs will have greater processing power than the smartest possible biological human.
> Why would garden gnomegle and MicroShit ever release the infrastructure they train their AIs on
To improve their own products and data collection value. They release betas and pre-releases all the time and many of their products end up being free to use and use with great flexibility to ensure maximum data acquisition for advertisers and such.
>AI is going to be offered by dozens, if not hundreds of suppliers. And many you will be able to straight up buy, completely.
Nope.
>Like what?
Like I said, your analogy to a game engine isn't very good in the first place, so it doesn't matter. AI is more like having Microsoft make your game for you.
>It's going to happen. In less than 100 years, AIs will have greater processing power than the smartest possible biological human.
Yes, that's highly likely. And it's going to be under total control of the ruling elite.
>To improve their own products and data collection value.
That's peanuts compared to controlling AI in the society that's coming.
> Nope.
Yep.
Lets just name a few companies who will have AI.
Microsoft
Apple
Google
Amazon
Samsung
Sony
Nintendo
LG
Motorola
HP
Tencent
Unity
Id
Crysis
etc. etc.
> Like I said, your analogy to a game engine isn't very good in the first place, so it doesn't matter. AI is more like having Microsoft make your game for you.
Tell me why these game companies wouldn't have their own gaming AI? They already have AI built into their current game engines and they are only getting more complex.
> Yes, that's highly likely. And it's going to be under total control of the ruling elite.
Impossible. And if it was, it would end up as a service.
> That's peanuts compared to controlling AI in the society that's coming.
Money is still needed. AI doesn't just print money on its own.
>Lets just name a few companies who will have AI.
>Microsoft
>Apple
>Google
>Amazon
>Samsung
>Sony
>Nintendo
>LG
>Motorola
>HP
>Tencent
>Unity
>Id
>Crysis
>etc. etc.
Kek. Yes, that's what I'm saying. Globohomo big tech is going to have AI. You're going to use the AI they give you.
>Impossible. And if it was, it would end up as a service.
That you think it's impossible just demonstrates that you have no clue about how AI works and what goes into training a complex model. We're basically already there. No proper, competitive AI comes out of anything but the core of big tech.
>Money is still needed. AI doesn't just print money on its own.
Money is completely inconsequential. The garden gnome oligarchs who own garden gnomegle and microsoft also owns the money presses and use them completely at their own discretion. Money is just good boy point tokens for peasants.
A lot of those companies are definitely not into globohomo censorship. Id straight up allowed a DOOM (2016) with a joke that specifically mocked globohomo.
> That you think it's impossible just demonstrates that you have no clue about how AI works and what goes into training a complex model. We're basically already there. No proper, competitive AI comes out of anything but the core of big tech.
People are making some of the most advanced AIs right now as part of their fucking school projects and then going private with them to make their own companies. Unironically, 90% of the biggest AIs right now are made this way.
> The garden gnome oligarchs who own garden gnomegle and microsoft also owns the money presses and use them completely at their own discretion. Money is just good boy point tokens for peasants.
Get lost gay. Your doomer attitude is uncalled for.
>People are making some of the most advanced AIs right now as part of their fucking school projects
Top kek. No.
The AI anime machine will be in your computer, you'll tell it what to use for inspiration and what it should and shouldn't reference. This isn't magical technology that can only be reproduced by pixie dust in wizards towers it's like a wheel, there's no hiding the recipe now that it's out and it's only going to get more accessible as more private experiments are run.
Nah, I'm talking about what's coming of course, the AI that's actually going to replace artists permanently. We're several iterations away from this as of yet, but it will come.
Most of the expense is commissioning chinese artists to draw you the training dataset.
(You can probably steal it for free, but this trick only works once.)
$10 can easily get you a patreon artists full portfolio. That's easily a dataset of 2k images if they do commissions frequently.
Do this for as many artists as you need to get the sample size you want. Then filter out everything that isn't 1:1 with a python script, and run it through either CLIP or deep danbooru for token weights..
No.
90 percent of success in an AI is having a large and curated training dataset.
When a paid tier of Stable Diffusion comes, it will be differentiated by being trained on a larger and better dataset.
This dataset will include exclusive works of art and the human artists will get a 50 percent cut of the revenue.
Your ghetto pirated patreon shit will only make people laugh. (Or maybe even an intellectual property theft charge, who knows how they will regulate AI datasets in the future.)
>No one will EVER make a video game outside of a big studio! It's IMPOSSI-ACK!
>No one will EVER make a movie outside of a big studio! It's IMPOSSI-ACK!!!
>No one will EVER produce music outside of a big studio! IT'S IMP-AAAAACK
No idea what you're sperging out over. I'm arguing this entire thread that AI is going to take over for artists completely. Try to keep the voices in your head and other posters separate.
The human artists curating them will probably live the lives of secret agents, lest competitors manage to steal their source materials.
what are you talking about? ateliers still exist, plenty of places to get a real art education
denounce the talmud
Yes, but in the end they will finally be made obsolete by AI. Nothing can change that now.
Making money from doodling titties was always a bubble, you should be planting crops and making guns.
>Making money from doodling titties was always a bubble
Of course.
>people who have both actual technical skill as well as satiric wit. There are few such people,
Sup homie. I already went through a 3060 12G. Learning process, worth it.
this is not fair.ai shouldn't be allowed to imitate soul.
>haha AI cant recreate sovl
>I-I mean it shouldn't!
Aesthetics are objective, sorry.
kino and sovl.
>NOOOOOO, THE HUMAN ELEMENT ISN'T IN PLAY. IT'S NOT SOULFUL
>Computer, put the human element into play and make it soulful
>WTF NO THAT'S CHEATING
it can imitate soul? or it possess soul enough to know how to draw soullike pictures... outstanding.
it's a reflection of human art, humans put soul into their art. So ai art has a fraction of that by default.
It's not someone else work, it's a collective of human creation. Shows our strength of soul, the power of our mind.
>it's a collective of human creation
If you make a movie of Harry Potter trying to save Nemo on Narnia you'd be in even more trouble than if you stole just one intellectual property.
Truly the only argument for copyright infringement is that you might get away with it because the work has been modified through an automated process by the press of a button. But it will always be other people's work with virtually no added human input that hasn't been automated.
stuff like chris-chan tier art doesnt impress me
if it will be able to imitate soul in Paint
now that will be impressive
Give it two years.
AI CHUDS RISE
still posting that falseflag

Personally I can’t wait for the ai generated porn of myself fucking all of your waifus
I can't wait for the machine that reads your brain waves and converts it to the porn and learns from how you respond to keep you in a constant state of arousal until all your dopamine receptors are fried and you can't get aroused at all anymore. Nobody is gonna make that though haha.
Who’s your waifu?
I would tell you but I don't want to look at pictures of you fucking her. She's a pretty common waifu though so maybe you'll wind up doing it by chance.
I bet she’s shit ;^)
Don't care what you think but maybe I'll tell you if you tell me yours first
you both have low-t and want to fuck eachother up the ass, get it over with goons
Who's your waifu?
now ur asking some questions
>shes a common waifu
So you share your missis with others? Dont you have a scoreboard type thing with names of all waifus and who they are currently dating, as not to cause arguments etc.
You ever keep masturbating after you coom and make your cock coom but nothing comes out? I do it over and over and its amazing, 4 or 5 orgasmic feelings and only the mess from 1 or 2. Awesome
Thats whats happened to conspischizos here on 4chan
> Assmad graphic designer OP
Right because AI will NEVER improve at making pictures and isn't totally learning right now while you bitch
Thought this said "Assad graphic designer" and I was trying to figure out what that meant for about 20 seconds. It sounded based ngl.
"AI, give me nightmares using just hands"
It wont take long before this gets fixed and ai works.
It's not a very hard problem in this regard. Give it a couple of years tops and AI will be churning out perfect hands.
This pic reminds me of Everquest.
I've seen some AI prompters have that OCs, so I guess you can just build your own models using that. You only need a dozen or fewer initial images to train one, and then all the generations will be similar enough.
I know, anon. I'm using it too.
>muh ai
anyone who knows shit about computers knows that ai is science fiction bullshit. ai will definitely rule the world one day. for sure. right after we use our quantum computers to colonize Mars and create the anti-aging drug.
larp all you want, but you and I and everyone else all know that it will never happen. in 80 years you will not have ai and you will still be coping and seething.
In this situation we're actually just talking about algorithmically generated pictures that look nice, not any kind of actual "thinking machine".
The term "AI" now means complex database relations manager. We've long ago given up on creating something actually sentient.
thats what your daddy said
The goal was never to create anything sentient, that's just fiction goals. This isn't to say we couldn't make a sentient AI in the future, just that that wasn't the goal, the goal is profit, the profit comes from making a tool. Sentience is more likely than not going to cause a lot of cooperation problems.
If any artificial intelligence becomes sentient it will be a test sentience which we will create and experiment with so we can transfer our own minds to a computer.
>talks about artists
>doesn't post art
what did gay op mean by this?
I dont care about hands or feet they mostly seem fixed in nai r34
To be fair most artists have trouble drawing hands. Professional artists trace the hands to meet their deadline
>muh hands no one cares about!!1!1
all I want is thicc anime girls with zero effort otherwise who gives a fuck
They upset you wont be xommisioning a paintpig for your tranime needs.
>tranime
go back
>kon
Could you have at least picked one that isn't complete shit?
>>AI will replace artigays
finished it.
The fact that ai "artists" accept this shit and think their "art" is beautiful just proves that they have no understanding of art and are therefore not artists.
Completely delusional.
AI "art" is slop made for the most lowbrow audience. A screenshot from some soulless commercial video game is more deserving of being considered art.
You don't get it. SD is impressive in some ways, but it's a prototype. It's complexity, while of course way out of bounds for normalgays, is relatively low compared to the complexity that can be created. This is not just hopes and dreams, you can prove mathematically that these problems can be solved, so they will. A couple of decades from now tops AI will shit out completely satisfactory art.
>slop slop slop slop slop slop slop slop
>Don't have to defend anything or say anything meaningful if I just say slop
Slop is the Slop of vocabulary.
There is no such a thing as digital art, its all lifeless products. have a nice day you will never be a woman
Yes, that's my point. Digital art is garbage too.
Would like to see you try drawing hands.
Use a better upscaler and lower your CFG. Also generate at higher resolution RAMlet.
Also, if you're not going to fix the mutated hand, at least crop it out.
Literally still better than anything modern artists can come up with so they can all continue to suck cocks and cope about being replaced.
You do realize that the AI is trained on a huge database of modern art drawn by jap and chinx artists, right?
The chink sweatshop inside your high-tech futuristic machine isn't going anywhere, bro.
AI doesn't produce art
The problem with most AI art is that the ML algorithms are designed to work on 1:1 images usually downscaled to 512x512. These images are generated by autocroping. The torso is often the only part cropped in 1:1 images. Thus hands are often missed in the dataset. Same for faces.
This is a trivial problem to solve. It will be solved in the very near future.
I agree. I'm just explaining why hands/faces are a problem right now.
artist here.
Sorry gay Aesthetics are objective, man Observes them and presents them. The angel was already in the marble.
The comics, games, cartoons and illustrations? No, they'll be made by millions of people all over the world, sitting around proompting out their work.
The AI's themselves will be proprietary and licensed from globohomo of course.
>The AI's themselves will be proprietary and licensed from globohomo of course.
hahahahahaha the AI will be on your computer dumbass, tweaked or made wholesale by private citizens.
You need to be over 18 to post here, boy.
I'm amazed at people who tell me weird AI mythology like
>kids in school are making AI like this
>bro, just get an RTX3060
>just hire some chinks to draw a couple of thousand pictures
I mean... where do you people get your information from?
Simple as.
>You have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, the model that you get from globohomo will be on your computer (not really, it will be on a cloud, but still near enough to what you're thinking.) This is the interface to the AI that you use to weight parameters as an overlay, that you then proompt against.
>Only a company do this be-bBECAUSE!!!!
Only a company do this because you don't have the capital to hire several thousand engineers and data scientists and the data centers for their infrastructure.
As technology becomes more common place, experts become more common too. Electricians used to be rare, and now they're everywhere.
I had to do the electrics in my home myself, because the hired "professionals" are absolute total fuckwits.
>Only giant corporations can produce AI image generation software and it can never be replicated or stolen
LOL
Correct. You will use what you're given like the good little goy you are. Cope more about it.
>Yes, the model that you get from globohomo will be on your computer (not really, it will be on a cloud
the best shit available currently runs locally on a computer
so your entire post comes off as retarded speculative nonsense. great job
My god you people are clueless. I'm out.
AI doesnt need to get any better to replace artists, and like other anons are saying it might even basically be at its peak already because moores law it wrong
If your goal is to prooompt some generic porn pictures to coom to, yes.
For professional creative work (think movie studios and publishing houses) absolutely not.
>i-it will only replace 99.9% of artists!
lmao exactly
Why should the disabled not be allowed to create art?
let's assume you're being serious; no one ever said disable people shouldn't be allowed to make art.
>AI is just a tool bruh
>AI collecting data, including medical and personal data is just the same as being inspired by art bruh
>stop gatekeeping
>prompting is as hard, or even harder than painting
Aestetics are objective gay. The time of gay leftists having the shitty art market cornered is over.
nothing of your response is related to what i said in any way. Are you even real?
Continue to simp for gay "artists" lol
Why all your posts are nonsensical. Is there any reason you cannot coherently respond to questions, without using buzzwords?
4chan made it clear. We support AI take over paintpigs fake jobs. If you support them or hate AI, you are leftist gay.
>steal from other artists
>everyone should have the privilege to prompt
>you're just gatekeeping
and you call me a leftist gay?
>steal from other artists
Modern Artists are almost universal leftists.
I don't care if someone steals from leftists.
Classical artists would have literally pissed themselves laughing at your modern ideas of intellectual property.
You do realize that most of the famous renaissance artists were leftists back in their day, right?
There wasn't anything resembling the Left until the 1800s you stupid gay.
>leftists back in their day
omg i knew they supported trans rights and having their civilization flooded with morons
Nice.
ill make some more landscapes again, im bored of thots now
this really needs more human control, it is aimless. it needs guidance
you can literally just draw over it with a rough sketch then use inpainting to select that area and tell it to make it into what you want with better detail than your sketch
but im not an artist, im a proompt addict and a coomer
can you give it a grayscale thumbnails so it understands the contrast you want?
pretty sure you could do something like that pretty easy with something called hypernetworks yeah
somebody here gave me a giga hypernetwork so i type in the word giga and it does black and white photos that try to have a muscular masculine guy as the sole subject
pic unrelated
stable diffusion has been integrated into photoshop with a plugin - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VL_gbQai79E
that end result is very heterogeneous, how can it be improved in terms of consistency?
it's just an example, obviously not perfectly refined. but you could run the whole image through img2img to tie it all together a bit.
>it will never improve because AI can't learn
This is how stupid you are
I have trouble creating the correct amount and shape of fingers while I'm dreaming sometimes...
>6 months tops for kinks to be ironed out
>6 years and current offerings look like the work of a child in comparison
Yeah, I'm thinking that's cope
There are physical limits to computation power, and we have already reached them.
We can futz around a bit more with optimizing our architectures (e.g. SIMD like the GPU, larger bus and cache widths like the Apple M1), but the possible gains here will be completely exhausted in 5-10 years tops.
It's not just about sheer computing power though, is it? The breadth and depth of these models is improving all the time.
Breadth and depth comes exclusively from having a large and well-curated dataset. This is a job for human hands and minds, it's not possible to automate it away.
Well yes, that's what I meant. It's humans pushing these models forward. The progress being made in such a short time is quite remarkable to me.
>There are physical limits to computation power, and we have already reached them.
Absolute brainlet take. Perf/watt continually improves, total xtor density improves, gate topology continues to evolve. ITRS extends into the 2030s now.
Original AND you neek. Would definitely buy thise for a dollor.
It'll probably be considered a new movement in art in a few years, look at other movements like abstract, expressionism or dadaism, they were also despised because it wasn't [renaissance statue/painting #1432] and now most people look at them in awe (or purely neutral) like any other piece of art.
where we're going, we dont need hands
That's a man
ur a man
UwU
AI art is a good way to test someone's creative and technical competence
AI is very powerful. But you just know that's someone else's work, although modified.
For example when face app makes you old, it's not truly making you old, it's sampling a database of old people's faces, and superimposing it on your own face. So it's you with someone else's features likewise AI art is many people's work superimposed and modified to match a prompt. That's why little details get fucked, you only notice hands and eyes but the glitches are actually all over the place.
The biggest cope is that you think this won't get fixed in a matter of months, given how quick this shit is going.
There is literally market for hunted and forged food, hand made craft and hand farmed products.
>Not using AI to make this meme
Anon, You gotta try harder.
AI never even made it past curation.
yahoo
google
lycos
altavista
etc
whatever bullshit startups in the 90s-00s which had to navigate actual human thought, as they slowly stripped away common consensus to lead us to Global Intelligence and NGO proper worldviews.
>garden gnomes can just run a million of them until they get the moron/shiska hand combo they want
it'll get better
just needs more training on hands
Well dygytal artists can now fix the ai mistakes
Almost as if it's just matching a pattern and doesn't understand what a hand is
RIP John
Dumb /Polacks have no idea that new improved models are slowly mastering hands/fingers. This is protogen 3.4 and it does hands far better than anything previous.
It's a question of maybe like 8 months and hands will be mostly solved.
copy paste from an actual image is not improvement
hands were created specifically to fool the robots trying to imitate us. They can never be recreated.
>AI makes cartoon
>Everyone has 6 fingers or more
>Human makes cartoon
>Everyone has 4 fingers or less
that was torture on the big bug lad
I wonder if they reuse those cones the random customers fully hold as well as the ice cream retard these webms make me so mad
Get a real job paintslave
It's not AI and it's not art.
Fuck I hate the term so much.
The internet is being flooded with AI generated images, most of them without any flaws fixed, what's gonna happen when the AI learns from it's own creations?
This is merely where it begins. It will improve, like all other technologies.
It not even ‘AI’ art. It’s just fucking algo-art, and it’s shit. Always call them ‘algo-pics’. Pouts out how retarded they are
Only morons will paint like a paintpig because they cant comprehend tech, White people will become AI sir and create infinite art
>Art Larp thread #3276
It's a fun toy for people who can't actually create an image due to lack of any artistic ability. Like playing 2K3 because you can't dunk in real life.
It won't replace artists anymore than the camera did because it's just a image generator. Their isn't anything impressive or creative about taking 5 seconds to type random ideas into an algorithm and passively seeing what it spits out.
OK Disney
>OK Disney
Don't worry no one is going to take away your nazi waifu generator anon. It's still not art. No vision, no craft, no spark, no effort. It's a toy nothing more.
>leaf
>new gay
"Disney" mean leftist groomer, new gay.
learning to draw hands properly is often harder than drawing faces
i find it slightly amusing that the AI is struggling with hands as well
>t. drawgay
Drawslop
bored and trying something new
it's so souless and chinky, can't they train it with European art standards and not that webtoon shit?
>Soulless and chinky
It really is
by european art im sure you mean classical art with hyperrealism, and this isnt hyperrealistic because there isnt really hyperrealistic art thats based on medieval fantasy for it to even have as a reference for this style
otherwise give me the arttists name and maybe i could throw it in here and get better results
dumbass morons
there are many models, and you can prompt with many different styles/artists. revealed preferences just show most proompters want big titty anime girls.
Someone should ai generate portraits of artists popular with zoomers combined with the terminator. Imagine a t-1000 bob Ross, or a terminator Freida kahlo, they'd go fucking nuts.
Just a matter of time before an AI can keep track of how many fingers it is supposed to draw.
>impressive, very nice
>now let's see the AI draw a chessboard
how funny that artists were "safe" ten years ago, when truckers were mocked by the learn to code motto
never happened
It still looks better than A.I. art from 2 years ago. By late this year A.I. will have hands and faces down so perfectly that all A.I. art will look like real HD photos
I want to see ai comedians
There's already models for hands, and even then artgays are assblasted beyond belief and have revealed themselves as the petty egotistical freaks they actually are
Ai art or bust
>petty egoistical freaks
>posts a reddit mod moment
I know artists make you seethe but you probably should stop building up that scarecrow in your head.
this is a retarded take, you're celebrating the death of a practice that elevates the mind all in the name of "muh progress". you'd rather replace it by an easy-to-cosoom product that will be co-opted and used to mold your brain. the main issue with Ai art isn't what it produces but that it convinces you you have any real agency in the pictures it spouts.
Disney American Gothic
Cope
i would let this dothead shit on my street if you know what i mean
