It's over!

Can I finally make my dream game now?
Yes we don't need the corpo trannies anymore. We can generate the art assets and the code with AI. A new golden age of story telling is coming.
I can’t wait for Hollywood to be rendered useless. Any idea you might have for a story you can create without having to win over Coca Cola and Disney stockholders first. I hope I’m alive to see the day
>We can generate the art asset
no you cant retard
this is as joke and intended to be ironic but I am doing this.
?t=573
he's right actually
Everyone CAN be a programmer.
Doesn't mean everyone will be a GOOD programmer.
I have a friend who has ZERO background in CS, doesn't have a clue how computers work and isn't really interested about computers. He recently started coding in Python - has no clue how anything works, doesn't even know basic stuff like loops etc... - he just glues code together (mostly directly off ChatGPT) in order to automate his work, and now he got a significant pay raise due to it.
Meanwhile I solved hundreds of LeetCode tasks and still can't get a job.
It kinda pisses me off.
>RedditCode
Why do so many people fall for that stupid website?
>t. unemployed neet
>t. unemployed neet
mostly true
the only objections I've seen are cope about how the models can't handle extremely difficult mega-projects like operating systems or video games
which is of course true but doesn't matter that much, those are extreme outliers in terms of everyday coding tasks, the average programmer is not writing an operating system or a video game engine
should i change my career?
Yes, become a milk maid.
>samegay
anyways, should i go for engineering or some gay shit like language studies?
Retard.
Engineering means you program in Matlab instead of JavaScript, but your ass will be just as prolapsed.
> language studies
are you a garden gnome? if so, good choice
I just made made arduino flash some leds with chatgt weee
you can demo it to girls at the club, and they'll give you a blowie in the bathroom
>weee
made me laugh
>Engineering means you program in Matlab instead of JavaScript, but your ass will be just as prolapsed.
here is farm engineering or mechanical engineering
>rich
engineers here hardly find a fucking job hahahaa
>engineers here hardly find a fucking job hahahaa
have you tried being good at your job?
i don't have a job
if you're a good engineer, you write code. then you switch to fintech
>should i be a rich engineer or be a expat english teacher who is hated by everyone in the foreign country
hard choice
maybe but personally I'm having a blast.
sell your ass on the street. more money and more fun
I'm getting tired of this leather-jacking wearing motherfucker's face really fucking fast.
whoa and he'd gain nothing from furthering the hype so it must be true
What a fucking moronic thing to say, jesus christ.
Oh if only that was even remotely true!
You can do that but you have to talk like a programmer and think like one, which is the same fucking thing except that you have a different method to translate business spec into code.
so basically someone with basic to intermediate problem solving skills, basic to intermediate familiarity with programming syntax/terms and basic to intermediate communication skills is the new 10x
No, generic questions get you genetic results, also if you're working on anything new or really niched LLMs are useless.
>words words words
lmao bottom text
jobs are given out for social skills. I am in the same boat as you but also dumb. It doesnt help even if you are a diversity hire if you cant HR speak your way through an interview.
you do know you can just pretend to have social skills right?
copy and mimick people you like on TV, practice in front of a mirror, and try to not sound retarded and stuttering for 5 minutes,
lean some good old songs, historical ancedotes, make your anxiety and agoraphobia come off as aloof, taciturn, and mildly cultured, even if only in the pretentious middle class midwesterner way.
>you can merely pretend
hasn't worked for me at all. I can come off as confident in an interview but it's skin deep and the hiring agent either knows it.
Let's put EA out of business
he thinks only because you can ask ChatGPT anything you want means anyone can be a programmer.
The thing is: normies are just too stupid to make the right questions to ChatGPT.
Also you need 20$/month for GPT-4 if you don't want to be trolled by 3.5 hallucinations kek
If GPT-4 really solved programming $20 would be nothing.
That is not possible, AI can't replace someone who is a content creator, everything what AI is doing is simple copy/paste of the code.
And only in the languages which had a huge volume of projects on github, so usually webshit stuff.
It can create flappy birds variants with ease because that's the most popular project on github to make, it cannot do any other game on its own, maybe with a lot of effort from your part it could pull out something, but not really.
Finally some anon who know what is AI. Peoples are irrationally scared of the AI, although if you look at the history the people were also scarred that they are going to lose their jobs as a mathematicians due to invention of the calculator. It is all so tiresome and a little bit laughable at this point.
>David Bentley Hart
Great video, thanks for that anon, I can't remember when was the last time I've tried to listen to David Bentley philosophy. Everyone who is into technology should listen that podcast.
>only gamers know that joke
What did he mean by this?
>chang wong dong ni mao nah mah san buy nvidia stock
shut the fuck up
