AI is smarter than most humans and that's enough.

>REEEE! IT'S NOT REAL INTELLIGENCE!
I don't care. It provides more value for me than most humans. Conversations with ChatGPT are more interesting than with any normie.

Ok then why did you come here instead of telling this to chatgpt?

So you see yourself as a normie.

Oh nonono, chat-bot bro's, your response?

Most people outside of BOT are barely literate and have nothing in common with us. I'd rather chat with robots.

Most people can't even tell the reason behind their actions.
Most people cant even understand hypotetical scenarios.
Most people cant say anything against peer pressure.
Most people think feelings are more important than facts.
Most people think Interstellar was a deep and interesting movie.

          >deep stochastic parrot spits out the most common consensus opinion
Duh. What's scaring me is this thing can now do math without mistakes. That makes it smarter than half this board.

Math seems way easier to "teach" since you're just following rules and don't have to do any thinking. It's just learning the rules is way more challenging to a human.

              >since you're just following rules and don't have to do any thinking
You have to know which of the rules to follow and apply. That's where the magic happens. Same goes with programming. You have to have "some" idea of what you're going to do to solve the problem before coding, even if it turns out wrong and you end up rewriting it. No idea = no code. The space of possibilities is too large to just glue strings together at random and hope it works.

It's able to do math pretty well if you can construct the prompt identically to how it's presented in the textbooks, ideally referencing the theorems required.

If you try to do thing like set algebra, especially if you don't have an exact problem statement, you are absolutely fricked though

                >It's able to do math pretty well if you can construct the prompt identically to how it's presented in the textbooks

I'm not sure about its limitations. Where it fails could teach us more than where it works, but I haven't been able to make it fail so far (at least for the obvious things I tired). Hallucinations and common reasoning mistakes present in earlier GPTs were absent.

Maybe it's just my particular autism, but consistent step by step human-readable reasoning trough a math problem that isn't written in a formal language (like Lean or other automatic theorem provers) is what's impressive to me. Moreso than the text slop and shit like

Lol I just noticed. It skipped one of the inequalities. It said it checked 3 of them but there's 2 labeled as 1. and 3.

Maybe the problem isn't that GPTs aren't smart, it's that humans themselves are too moronic to notice they aren't.

No, turns out I'm the moron. The 2. inequality is there, I just cropped it out when making the image. GPTs win again.

Don't we already have like three of these threads up right now? This is the worst marketing rhetoric we've had in a long time.
