AI has proven that our brain is simply a result of chemical reactions, and our decisions have nothing to do with our consciousness.

AI has proven that our brain is simply a result of chemical reactions, and our decisions have nothing to do with our consciousness.
We are merely observers who observe human beings doing things on their own.
Split brain experiments proved this too

What are chemicals and what are the causes? These are just effects.

Informatics actually explains emergence and causes of intelligence much better than chemical psychology, it's applications was what allowed us to create machine intelligence and LLMs. It's why computer scientists and engineers created AI and psychologists are still working the roastie emotional damage helpdesk and behavioral economics to sell shit to the lowest common denominator of humans.

Not sure i agree they're equally bad, modern psychology has existed for roughly 100 years and engineering even less so but has progressed immensely more than the former.

    It has not.

OK it hasn't entirely, but what would make you change your mind?
Organoid intelligence for me would be really interesting, it'd effectively be the equivalent of our fleshy creature selves but entirely lab grown

You can't look at an apple to understand a rock. Materialism cannot explain itself. Some things cannot be scientifically isolated and tested. I don't say this as some woo woo fanatic. It is just common sense.

    What's your point?
What am I supposed to use this information for to better my life?
Sounds like bullshit to me I've trained my consciousness to a point I'm one step ahead of everyone in my vicinity.

AI never proved anything other than that it does what humans programmed it to do.

bhagavad gita basically says that god is the controller of the body, which is likened to a conditioned machine. our soul observes this process, deluded into thinking that it is this machine-body.

This is the stupid: any kind of truth claims necessitates the possibility of error, yet in a purely biological, deterministic universe reasoning can't be right or wrong because from the get go knowledge as proper isn't possible but rather neural processes that facilitate survival. In consequence we couldn't actually know if the realization of any truth actually comes from external reality (that can't be proven either with this model) or simply a monke brain doing his own stuff and believing falsehood for the sake of survival. It would be impossible.
