its more accurate to say that AI art, while accurate at replicating human art, can only replicate a small subset of human art. you can very easily look at neoclassical allegorical paintings and see that they are not AI
If you use vanilla SD you can get some really cool looking AI art from those periods but most used waifu for waifus. I've seen some insanely impressive stuff on twitter though.

saying that X is a subset of Y means that you can in fact distinguish X from Y when z is in YX, but because they are not disjoint that distinction cannot always be made

I find it unlikely you generated perfect black or perfect white squares with a diffusion based model.
You either wrote some simple script to generate the squares, cropped them off of some other image, or made them on an image editing software.

Fair enough. I thought cropping and blurring a bit would be enough but they have a pretty good algorithm for reverse-searching.
