Any artist worth their salt would be learning to work with these new tools.

False. Are you implying artists started working with photographic cameras instead of just drawing?
Any artist would just ignore this shit. If they are good, people would still pay for them. If they suck, they have nothing to fear.

      >makes a living producing something a machine can produce.
been reading lot of soul/soulless arguments about this ai. but if the viewer can tell the difference doesn't that mean that their art was soulless to begin with?
lot of artists are going to have to face the truth. that their work was not as special as they thought.

      photobash?

Is this the reactionary bait thread number #N16634

Photobash became a thing for "artist" after we started having computers to better manipulate photos.
If an AI can draw for me, I don't need an artist anymore. It can't do many things right now, but given time it will draw every hand and feet perfectly.

You homosexual digital artists made fun of traditionalists who refused to adapt to the digital era.
Now here we are, and you're treaty a workhorse like it's your replacement.

Most software/tools used nowadays by "artists" are already AI assisted to the point most can't "draw" for shit without them.
Most are moronic enough to actually believe it's all them, and that they're actually so talented.
While in actuality they couldn't draw a stick figure in real life.

Given time, exactly what job can't a machine reproduce? The only thing reason we are not putting machines to do every job is because tech is not advanced enough to do that right now.

i thought that was the goal. machines producing everything, humans become hobbyists or eternal students.

          >humans become hobbyists or eternal students
And where does the money to buy things comes from?
Whenever we had tech taking workers place, those very workers didn't get pay for doing nothing, they had to learn a new trade and find a new job. Yet now people think if AI takes our place, somehow we will get infinite money and food and whatnot.
It will take a long time until AI and machines can take all jobs and until then, money and food will still not be given for free. As long as there is a single job that requires people working, then you better learn that if you want to put food on your table.
After that, it's still up to whoever is in control to decide people's future.

nah, dude. the money they make comes from cheap fossil fuel energy.
they are the ones paying politicians to ignore scientific proof that we have reached end game.
they count on the future disasters to cull the pop, and then blame it on nature or god.

their art can be made by a machine and those who consume it can't tell the difference.

Quite frankly, soul doesn't matter when they're contributing to a cookie cutter project.

Most games don't really need artistic integrity. Or perhaps just enough, and everything over that is just diminishing returns.

Other places where you would apply art like sites and logos and stuff, even less so.

        that is my point.
if a machine can do your job, the problem is on you not the machine.
